well we'll see how this all turns out in a couple of days, i find it funny(in a ironic way) the the PSV went from the "savior of handheld gaming" to the doom n' gloom/DOA handheld...people just can't make up their minds.

I can't really comment on the article itself as a skimmed threw it and don't really like gamespot to begin with...so there.

Memory is a funny thing.  I don't think anybody touted the PSV as "The saviour of handheld gaming".  The vast majority of us thought of it as a device that would be dead on arrival (I love my PSP even more than my DS but, being real, it was going to take something amazing to make it's follow up a success).  I know it's got a tough time ahead of it, even though I plan to buy it.  I was absolutely stunned to see that people thought the 3DS could fail.  I kept saying "Wait until Christmas".  With the PSV, I am nowhere near as optimistic.
