They see us lurking, they hatin....
I lurked for about a year and then decided to become a bit more active. I think most of us start out like that.
@RAcCoOnErOuS:
You said "i don't have much to say" and I think this applies to all of us, especially to the ones who post regularly.
Even with more than 3500 during the past 5 years I still consider myself some kind of lurker as well, mainly because I'm not really interested to get into discussions with other users. I just read the forums and occassionally post lists of most anticipated games or something like that. 90% of my posts are lists of some sort and I rarely reply to replies to my post. I think most people still don't know me which is absolutely fine with me as I don't know most people either (and find many of the better known members, who love to vote for each other in "member of the year" theads and to tell each other how great they are, incredibly self-centered. The pinnacle of redundancy.).
Now the most important question for lurkers would be:
If they mostly lurk and can't be bothered to post more often, why are they even here? I'm still searching for an answer.
BTW: My most favorite VGC lurker is the one who managed to post only 22 times in the 5 years of his membership. Almost all of his 22 posts can be found in Smeags' Vote Now! threads, the last one on Decmeber 2011.

Great guy, isn't he? Only 22 posts in 5 years and he still logs in regularly. Now that's what I call devotion!
(I won't post his user name here as I assume he prefers to stay unnoticed.)

Thats why I decided not to post his user name. :) Yup, he is very dedicated to being secrative and only posting when necessary.
I find that you are trying too hard to smile.

I was this* close to asking who it was but I found him
Took some time and I didn't really gain anything by finding him herp derp - I get carried away with my curiosity/stalking instincts sometimes -_-

Nope not you. Your Pikmin are just sitting there dumbfounded on a tree branch. I was referring to the op's avatar.
