Lots of haters in this thread.

I never get fans that want a company to exit the business and cause so many to lose jobs.

Why not?  After all, Sony did it to SEGA not too long ago.  All's fair in love and videogame console wars lol.

You know, I was about to argue this but you're right, they DID do exactly that to Sega in about as heartlessly cut-throat a way as businessly possible.

Still, wrong is wrong and though they did it to someone else I still wouldn't like it if Nintendo, Microsoft or, gulp, Apple did it to them.

Do you really think Sony did it or was it because Sega made some bad decisions with the Saturn?  It's not like I wanted Sega to leave the industry.  I would much rather have them around than Microsoft in the gaming industry (which has had a number of exclusives that appeal to me that I can count on one hand).  Now that MS is in the industry, I don't really want them to leave.  I will continue to ignore them until they make more games I want to play.  The only time I paid attention was when they were trying for the Japanese market a few years ago.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Medievil 3

lol, how did you remember that!?

and since we are both dark, i want a Medievil reboot too

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Digital release for every game on day 1 ( boxed retail release still).
500Gb HDD minimum.
Capacity to record TV shows on the HDD ( like a Tivo).

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Looking forward to seeing how they plan on distinguishing themselves from the competition, if at all for that matter (other than games).

One thing is for sure, if they simply make an upgraded PS3....then there will not be a PS5.

Well, what do you want them to do? Anything special that you've always wished Sony would do?

Do you really think Sony did it.

This is Sony                                                          This is Sega

So pretty much yeah, they did it.  Any questions?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

So are you really saying that Sega's decisions had nothing to do with it at all?  The add-ons for the Genesis, the Saturn being difficult for programming, etc.  Or maybe the fact that PS1 was dev friendly compared to the Saturn?  And Nintendo and their treatment of third parties? (making most migrate to Sony at the time).

The funny thing is how many exclusives Sega makes for Sony now days.

I'm looking forward to Sony's exit from the videogame industry altogether.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

That's actually a realistic prediction.
