Forums - Sony - Progress Report: A Month With the PS Vita - "Best handheld ever, but it needs a few tweaks"

Of everything he said, one point sticks out: Best launch lineup. Honestly? I agree. I'm going down the list of games, and while there's only one arguably AAA title (uncharted) there's a LOT of great stuff coming out, and honestly, I can't wait. While the 3DS had a great year, it had a shitty launch. this, on the other hand, looks really good. Sure, some of the games are ports (Virtua Tennis, Rayman Origins, MArvel vs Capcom), there's still a damn good list of original content. At launch alone, I'm definitely getting:

Little Deviants (comes with the package I'm getting)
Uncharted 3
ModNation Racers: Road Trip

If I could afford it, I'd also get:

Rayman Origins (didn't get it on consoles, if it's the same game on PSV I'll get it)
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (Again, didn't get it on consoles)

And there are some games that interest me but I'm not sold on:

Wipeout 2048 (Free PSN games made me a believer)
Super Stardust Delta (free PSN games made me a believer)
Lumines Symphony
Ridge Racer
Disgaea (curious, I've heard good things about the series but never got into it)

Basically, that's a lot of great games, and a hell of a list for someone interested in a variety of games. Like I said, not a lot of oomph as far as AAA titles go, but they come in time. Hell of a launch window lineup, and more to come in the future. I'm sure both the 3DS and my soon to come PSV will both spend a lot of time in my pocket over the next year or five.

Ugh. I can't wait to get mine. Less than a month. :D

I need money, I wish I can say what you're saying ='(

Though I do have the pride of saying I held the Vita in November at MLG, played Golden Abyss =D

I've been plotting this for a while. Sony knew exactly how to lure me in. Launching with an Uncharted and a Katamari game....why this is better than Christmas for me. :D

Darn lucky man, but soon enough I will get the VITA!

lucky me, my birthday is in the middle of Feb...

Just a question: Have you never played a super stardust game Or are you not sold on this particular entry to the franchise?

Because if you've never played it before, id argue super stardust was one of the best games on the psp as well as one of the most suitable games, its perfect for pick up and play, but also has lasting appeal, and is genuinely great fun. Now that theres two analog sticks, it should feel even better!

If you not sold on this particualar entry then id like to know why :? Because if i ever get a PSV this will be my first buy.

Id say get this instead of modnation racers!

My opinion might be a lil bias considering im a huge fan of the genre (big fan of geometry wars as well!!!)

Virtua Tennis 4 confirmed for killer app.

How does the screen compare to an iPhone display or one of the Samsung Super AMOLED+ displays?

wait so does the vita track the total time played for the system. that is awesome i wish I could see how many hours ive played my ps3 for in total.

I'm convinced he bought it for the hardware and not the games. Hmmm..
