Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Assassin's Creed III Set During the American Revolution

What about it being set entirely in modern days The first mission is to assassin Kim Jong-Il, you spy on secret templar meetings presided by Stephen Hawking and Angela Merkel and fight a jetpack George W. Bush as the final boss while having Ron Paul as your mentor all along.

Very plausible and I believe the rumour is true but for me it's very disappointing.

I don't like this era and setting. It's bland. I have no relation to the historical USA except for the cowboy era and onwards. And AC should not take place in modern times.

I would have liked England or France in the 17th or 18th century. Or even better, go back in time to ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt or Babylon, or the Viking age or medieval Europe.

Would be pretty boring, there are next to no huge amazing buildings to climb there...

lol I assume you would be climbing buildings in NYC, Boston and Philly.

It could work, the focus on Europe has kept the series popular there. An American story would likely increase interest in North America.

Also there are a lot of interesting and more familiar historical figures.

In the end Ubisoft will troll us all and make another WWII game ^^
