Only because their home console is down, the market seems to agree PS360 are more than enough right now ..

I agree with Nintendo ...

Although I find it funny that in the past week I've seen many people reverse their position from "The XBox 360/PS3 is so powerful that we don't need new consoles" to "Man the next XBox is only going to be 6 times as powerful as the XBox 360; that means the graphics are going to be crappy!"

I've been ready for a new gen since '09 Nintendo. Of course I agree!

who in their right mind would wait for a new gen in the middle of a console generation

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

for nintendo maybe... 360 was flat and ps3 was up 1% yoy.

Sure the december sales were lower, but that's because winter holiday is wii season. Given that even reggie said that wii was a slow seller during the year and makes its sales back in Christmas, it's entirely the wii slowing down that is causing the "drop".

Eh, back then I assumed this gen would follow the typical 5-6 year pattern.

yea Sony/MS just had to ruin the generational pattern

My body is ready. And so is my wallet.

To be honest, I'm very excited about the new Nintendo.
Wasn't very excited about the wii, but the U looks right up my alley.
