Well, that makes more sense. The same thing can be said about Microsoft though.

Sony's M.O. is to release a new console 6 (PS1-PS2) to 7 (PS2 to PS3) years after the launch of it's predecessor, while still supporting it's predecessor. Them saying the PS3 will have a 10 year life-cycle is in no way an indication that the next Playstation hardware will hit 10+ years after the PS3's launch.

If that's the case why do people continue to ask? Ask a default question get a default answer.

Everyone knows the PS4 is in the works and that Sony don't comment on things so effectively this is a waste of everyone's time.

Yeah and it seems to work in their favour, all the attention they get from rumours only add to the hype for next-gen consoles
