I'm really stoked for mass effect 3, Alan wake American nightmare, halo 4, bioshock infinite, star wars kinect and fable journey to name a few. Am I missing out? Hardly. Diverse? Hell yes. Kinect deserves praise and attention. Some of its experiences and pure fun is unmatched. Great times for Xbox. |
You are stoked for "on rails" games?? really?!
Haunt is real good fun with my family. Child of Eden is superb. Hell yes im stoked for star wars kinect and fable the journey. Looks fun as hell, and a great change from the wanna be film games this gen is throwing out. Kinect has given me and my family alot of fun and good times. Having my daughter smile and play with her dad is much more important to me than the next aaa been there done that exclusive we normally see. She's only 5 in April. Controllers of any type still pose an issue for her. Kinect makes it so easy to naturally play she has alot of fun. I can do what I like doing while she enjoys it to.

No, not really. Kinect can also be a party "killer"(in a good way). Provided you have the right games though.
Yay!!!
Since we're praising kinect games, one Kinect game that really surprised me is Rise of Nightmares. I know it has nothing to do with Microsoft opening new studios, but whatever...
Its very old school survival horror-ish right down to akward controls which actually make the game way more tense...I had a blast with it way more than any big budget AAA game I've played this holiday season.
hmmmm i'll be waiting for the quality none kinect games before judging.
Old news as these studios exist. But looking forward to new core and kinect based games next gen.
But to the haters: god forbid you guys can use Kinect with your siblings, parents, girlfriend, wife, or children. Take your pick depending on your age and place in life. God forbid you hold a party with both male and female non gamers instead of the usual late night sausage fests with core games. Nevermind that Kinect makes commanding and searching for your entertainment easy and convenient.
I mean cmon, core games are still there and still coming to 360. Kinect can and will help you be more social to your non gamer friends and family....so why core gamers are threatened by its potential to better their social lives alludes me.
