We have NPD numbers and European numbers and japanese every year from official trackers and VGC is spot on, ofc it has been adjusted sometimes before.

So unless Ps3 is selling Trilions of software in Middle East or Latin America to VGC be wrong... 

Only here i see about over +300 Ps3 games on shelves in every store.

Same for 360 but MS wont give as numbers.

Double standards? I always talk about the shipment number due adjustments... if you don't know... I LOVE ADJUSTMENTS!!!

We only get positions from Europe and occasionally numbers for the big name games. 

Last year we had SW numbers for Europe, Nintendo gave them, i remember seeing that on Gaf.

the gap has a lot to do with the market where the console is stronger... US has always bought more sw than europe or japan... that puts xbox with advantage since its the strongest in US... that and the head start (not the only reason but it sure helps)
for you to see what i mean... PS3 has a bigger (not much at all but bigger non the less) tie ratio on US than xbox! so region is the main issue here!
