I will be buying a WiiU. I will not be playing it though.
I'll be getting WiiU 100% early next year if not launch day. Like this gen I'll have to wait a year or two before actual games I'd want to play are released on one of the other consoles. I will probably not buy all three as I learned from this gen there just isn't enough exclusives on either console to warrant that.
I mostly buy 360 versions of all my games but the only 360 exclusive I have are from the Halo series which I'm already bored of leaving me to possibly lean towards ps4 if they continue to pump out uncharted quality exclusives.
oops :p
highly unlikely to be honest , but still possible ,as I said Sony first-party studios are leaving me no choice.
Nintendo on the other hand isn't for me , outside of Zelda I have no interest in thier games . And I want high end tech, I want the biggest ram possible so we'd get better AI and better graphics ... yes I care about graphics .
Xbox is the other possiblity, but they have a lot to prove first, they have been a huge disappointment in the last 2 years or so.
i voted likely maybe, mainly because i've gamed (have in house) all systems this gen.
i've been a very colorful gamer (console, owner, player) over the yr.'s, although not as knowledgeable about games in gens past. i know what to look for next gen. because of this gen. (thanks to vgc).
i love my PS3, love hating the 360, and hate loving the Wii.
i was lucky enough to play the first systems that came out before i was born, after i was born, so i have a strong gaming history.
in the 6th gen., i knew little to nothing about games, but was pleased with the GC, Xbox, and PS2. dream-cast was discontinued before i could purchase one, bust i did get to play one.
this gen. by far has been the most active for me, but my direction in the 8th gen. seems to be all over the place.
i expect MS to step up their exclusives department, Sony to have the best library and strongest launch lineup, Ninty to bring a few new titles, and using their tech better then anyone else, and my return to PC is a must.
i won't really know until the 4th yr. in (late adopter), but i am leaning hard on PS4, cause i know what Sony has, and can do.
so with that, Sony is at the top of my list, but we'll see what's what 4 yr.'s in.
Not upgrading, or updating, until the slew of mainstream gaming companies start releasing titles (with games such as GTA 6, GT 6, Halo 5 etc) and I see they're significantly better then anything available on PC.
All of this, of course, is just my opinion.
Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.
I'm open to buying either Microsoft or Sony's next gen system depending on pricing and launch titles.
I'll switch to xbox if they find a way to not charge for online play and don't make shoddy launch consoles, though since I love most of nintendo first party, I kinda doubt I'll switch. Kinda on the fence on PS4 though.
don't waste time

with everything i said in my previous post, i will only support one 8th gen. console as i have this gen. with PS3, but never forget the games.
my original rule of 15 new dedicated franchises, and 20 exclusives still stands. the console makers have to show the dedication, not third party. i may wait 6 yr's in.
I can't imagine Nintendo having an awesome line-up for the Wii-U out of the gate. This generation, I bought all three consoles. By far and away, I play my 360 the most. I still enjoy Nintendo's staple franchises(Metroid, Mario, and Zelda), but I cannot see myself buying their new console for awhile. The PS4, I'm wondering about altogether. There isn't much that they have, that I care about, regardless, that I can't get on the next M$ console. Also, I bought a ton of downloadable content, Indie games, and XBLA games that I'm sure will transfer to the new console. As far as Nintendo goes, the only thing that interests me in the slightest is the Zelda "demo" they showed at E3.God only knows how long they will take to actually bring it to their new generation. It could be 2015 or later, before the new Zelda hits shelves. Unless the Wii U is dirt cheap, I am having a hard time believing it will be that successful. I originally bought into all of the hype for the Wii. I waited all night the second week it was out to buy one. They were successful, but I don't know how many people I know that hasn't even turned it on in years. I would have sold my PS3 a long time ago, but it had the blu-ray player. I am glad I didn't sell it, because their are a few games that I like that I cannot get on my 360. But next generation? I will probably only get one console, maybe two. I think the PS3 has a lot of life left in it, and it is starting to consistently show some great legs worldwide. I'm not really surprised that Sony will not show it at this years E3. So, wrapping up, I think Nintendo know that they have to get the next generation going because the Wii is pretty much finished in the next two years, and that's being generous. I think that M$, is enjoying their successes, and want to duplicate/beat them next generation, but they are a little cautious because of the success of the 360, the lack of success the PS3 started with, and they want to wait and see what the Wii U will do. I think Sony are still trying to make the PS3 a financial success, and don't think that they need to release a new generation of consoles yet. I don't blame Sony, because their games still look wonderful(The Last of Us anyone?). It's a very tricky time to be a console developer right now. I think that we as consumers feel the same way. Who wants to buy a console to have it end up like the Dreamcast? Everyone is a little more cautious this time, and are reluctant to part from our current console(more PS3/360 owners). I think I will have to be completely blown away before I will become an early adopter. As of yet, the Wii U is far from mind-blowing.
Maybe, depends on what each system offers. I bought a PS3 because of the blue-ray, and exclusives. I'm not opposed to getting a next gen xbox, but we'll just have to wait and see. Far to early to know what they each have to offer at this point.
I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.
