Final Fantasy Dimensions wasn’t the only trademark Square Enix picked up recently. About a week ago, the company registered “Sleeping Dogs”.
The trademark was found in the European database.
Could Sleeping Dogs be related to a new Kane & Lynch title? Rumors about a third entry in the franchise started to pick up steam late last year. A job posting on IO Interactive’s site stated that the studio was hiring for “a yet unannounced 3rd person game with strong cooperative multiplayer elements.”
The last game, Dog Days, was released in August 2010. Despite mediocre reviews, it went on to sell over one million units worldwide.
