Sony has Starhawk, Twisted Metal, The Last of Us and possibly The Last Guardian



Well seeing how next-gen xbox hasn't been announced yet, it can't officially have been delayed to next-gen can it. :p

Plus The Last of Us hasn't been given a release date yet as far as I know, so that might not release this year either (Although I hope it does)

Well... I don't think that Microsoft's strategy is BAD... the numbers prove it... but what help them last year was some problems on SONY's side like the PSN outage... and a lot a Strong third party games that are strong on the USA.. and Kinect being the casual "boom" right now too...

 

But I don´t think that it will work twice... so this Year they could need something more than a Halo...

Twisted Metal looks a really bad game to me, sorry im european that game is terrible in my eyes. Starhawk is not a new IP i mean it the sucessor to Warhawk its like MS named Gears of War and then made a new ip called War of Gears...

Last of Us Will be Awesome, Last Guardian with all the news about people leaving sony and stuff im concerned... but yeah 2 (possibly) great games indeed.

Impact does make a bigger difference. I am perfectly content with Halo, Gears, Forza, and Fable as my main exclusives. The rest are occupied by 3rd party, which the 360 is factually the preferred console for them.

Big name exclusives > original yet forgettable exclusives.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Those studios are mostly for Kinect. Lets hope at least one core title will come of it and preferably from the Canadian branches, because MS has got nothing on Sony or Nintendo when it comes to substance. They can shout out sales all day but they are selling nothing of substance. Wow they can sell more copies of a game another console has. Amazing!

He's right. Creating a new core IP isn't an easy thing. I don't know why people are slamming Microsoft over the lack of exclusives IPs when I haven't seen a new IP from Nintendo worth caring about in a long while. Even Hal Laboratory's own Sakurai had a go at Nintendo's inability to create new IPs as of late. Pushmo was a good way to get the ball rolling.


In Nintendos defense they create new ways to play. Microsoft never created Kinect, Sony turned it down and Microsoft scooped it up from under them. Just shows you that Sony is more focused on what a peripheral can do rather than having nothing but casuals using it for one or two games.

Just remove the odd PC game as well as XNA and they still have plenty of IPs that they could be putting to use.


Find the AAA titles on that long list. Seriously Microsoft is grasping at straws. (especially ones that they had zero hand in making).
