Thats right. Good thing we can evolve over time our views and beliefs. Lets stick with one mentality forever.....cause thats worked well in human history lol.

But in all seriousness 360 has more quality games per year then PS3, once you include XBLA and PSN.

But then we get the budget racists and downloadable prejudice PS3 gamers that stick to their lists of retail exclusives they dont even buy.

Nice spin there. You still haven't listed the supposed great XBLA AAA exclusives though

Neither PSN or XBLA had a 90+ metacritic game in 2011. But XBLA beat PSN in 70-79 and 80-89 rated games, especially in the 80's category.

I dont have the list, but the results are there if your willing to do the homework. So I have nothing to hide despite my lack of list. XBLA beat PSN in 2011.

Most of those games are 360/PC and therefore not exclusive IPs, which this discussion is about

And theres the classic PS3 gamer retreat, ignoring that 360/pc titles are still not available on PS3. lol you can evolve beyond the simple parameters of this thread like everyone else and not turn a blind eye to one of 360s biggest advantages over PS3. You can close your eyes but doesnt make them go away.

Me? You checked out my games collection on my profile? Pretty much the list the average 360 core fan has. But I didnt list at all my XBLA purchases, which is at least double that of my retail games I own.

But even then....I do what many here don't: look outside my own opinions and see what the greater whole is doing. And it may be a shock to you but many XBLA games sell on par with many PS3 exclusives. Yaya I know they cost less per sale. Theres always a spin on either side....

Yeah and Angry Birds outsold every 360 and PS3 exclusive combined . Seriously... But yeah, the best selling XBLA games sell on par with the lowest selling PS3 exclusives.

I'm pretty sure the best selling XBLA exclusives can outsell the lowest selling PS3 exclusive. It's not hard when you have games like Hyperdimension Neptunia as exclusives.

Ugh I remember the days when vgchartz tracked XBLA. We had full access to all titles that broke 500 000, a million, even 2 million for some. It would really come in handy!

Yeah, gamers, AKA, humans that play games.

And I didn't say all gamers. I said the majority of gamers. Most of them simply play games. They don't care if the game is available on another console or not. That's not going to hamper their enjoyment of the game.

Of course a gamer who plays games care. Casuals (whom are the majority) obviously not.

I get the feeling you're separating casuals from gamers as if they're two separate groups. They are not. Casuals are gamers as well. I think you're identifying gamers as people who are hardcore. Most gamers are moderate gamers, they fall between casuals and hardcore. The moderate and the casual don't care if a game is exclusive or not. I'd even say a good portion of the hardcore don't care. I'd say maybe one-third of hardcore gamers care about exclusives. Those people are super hardcore, and they represent probably less than 1% of the gaming population.

Most gamers simply don't care about playing exclusives. They usually judge games based on their quality, not their exclusiveness. This is probably the case even for hardcore gamers. I know that's the case for me.

In short, most X360 gamers don't feel neglected or ignored. They have more than enough games to satsify their desires.

Let's be honest here, MS needs to do much more for the hardcore gamer.

Just so they can make your list bigger?

Obviously.

The amount of sad MS badgering going on here is...sad

We should be badgering them. When the media notices and confronts them for for the second year in a row it becomes kind of obvious there is a problem. Microsoft isnt exactly a company you can rest assured with for gaming, they will be complacent only where profit resides even if it has aboslutely nothing to do with gaming on a gaming console itself. They must also learn be satisfied with a title that sells under three million copies. Not every game is a mega hit. They've been in this for almost two generations and still havent understood that you can have your sellers but its also important as a gaming company to prove your console has a wealth of exclusives to attract gamers. We already know novelties like Kinect can  attract casuals.

No, you shouldn't, hosting your opinion on the matter is fine, and I fully appreciate you to do so, but quattro posting just to hate on MS isn't fine.

If MS was doing some bad on the game department people would stop buying 360's, and so far that hasn't happended.

I've also owned a PS3 since 2009, and since then it has consumed less than 5% of my gaming time, and that isn't likely to change untill TLG and TLOU come out, so Sony isn't doing all that well for me either.

It's all of matter of preference in the end, I prefer 4-5 exclusives that I really want to play, instead of 30 exclusives from which I only want to play 2-3, and I fully appreciate that you disagree, but you could certainly do it with a better attitude.

Ok so....its acceptable to only give two exclusives a year and call yourself a legit gaming company? You mean I purchased my 360 to have it collect dust if Im not playing multiplayer on Live? Sorry bro, I'm a gamer. I think I should. The way I see it, if you purchased a product with your hard earned money and have invested in it for years you deserve to bitch when it calls for it. Microsoft pretty much just admitted the problem and gave their reasoning and quite frankly saying its not easy to make AAA titles isnt good enough. Nintendo and Sony can do it....they say they have bigger blockbusters titles. Its about time they put up or shut up.

First off almost everybody here is ignoring how XBLA pumps out more and better rated games then PSN every year. Unless were all "budget racist" and only care about retail, big budget games.

But MS is doing just fine and their reasoning is sound. Sony tried so hard this gen with new IPs and out of all of them, only Uncharted "stuck" with the gamers, the rest being forgettable and didnt sell according to expectations. MS should not do what Sony does: taking blind shots in the dark hoping one of them connects with the gamers....cause frankly thats a waste of time and money, given their poor sales.

The final quote was spot on how its all about "quality and IMPACT then number of releases". Its funny to think that Halo 4 will have more buzz and probably more sales then most big name PS3 exclusives combined this year. But theres still the smaller games not on PS3: Minecraft, Alan Wake, Fable The Journey, Ryse, Steel Battelion, Star Wars, The Witcher, plus the usual XBLA titles that just demolish what PSN has to offer.

As a 360 gamer, I couldnt be happier with my 360. Too many people here are "list whores"...making lists for the sake of seeing whos is bigger. However thats only the on paper aspect. Real world numbers suggest MS is right, given the poor sales of most PS3 new Ips.

No one is mentioning them because they're almost always not exclusive. Also, this is a bad stereotype that PSN doesn't get as many and good games as XBLA. Your last paragraph is kind of ironic though...

Yes, PSN has a pretty good amount of games, but in terms of qualilty and quantity XBLA is superior. Have you even seem the XBLA games that are releasing this year? I could easily name double the amount of  exclusive arcade games this year compared to PSN. Not taking anything away from PSN, but MS really has arcade games of lock down.

Yeah, could you list XBLA 2011 exclusive AAA titles? Because I can't remember any. And let's be honest here...in the real world, digital indie titles don't matter. Or at least, that's what I'm told because they're shunned by most 360 owners

It's hard to list games for certain what they will score(because their not out), but all these games should score in the 80-90 or higher meta score.

Alan wake: American Nightmare, Trails Evolution, Deadlight, Fez, Battleblock Theater, Retro City Rampage, Hybrid, Bloodforge, Minecraft, Happy Wars, Sins of Mora, Dust: An Elysain Tale, Skulls of Shogun, Diablical Pitch, Spelunky, Wreckateer and Class3.

These are mainly the high profile games releasing this year, but a pretty solid line-up considering were only in the month of January.

Yeah, that's why I said 2011

Bastion

Radiant Silvergun - 86

Guardian Heroes - 83

ITSP - 76

Bangai-O HD - 78

The Dishwasher Vampire Smiles - 81

Ms. Splosion Man - 83

The Gunstringer - 77

Half-Minute Hero SMNC - 76

Are these enough to you?

It's a good list, but I see no reason that this list blows away PSN 2011 exclusives...Bastion is not exclusive btw and Half-Minute Hero is a stretch since it's a rerelease of a PSP game.

Ugh......Bastion and Half minute Hero are on 360. They are not on PS3. Not exclusive. But a title that gives 360 an edge over PS3.

Yaya the thread title. The thread evolved into a 360 vs PS3 library thread now. At least acknowledge they give 360 an advantage in a strict 360/PS3 comparison despite not being exclusive.

Thank you. Considering that it says we play everything while PS3 gamers shun everything that isnt exclusive.

Thats the biggest compliment one can get here :)

XBLA AND PSN are pretty much even now.

PSN hardly get the same offers and discounts. You can't call that "even".

LOL...If you have plus you are offered year round discounts, and can play PSN games free (you just dont get to keep the free games). Not even at all!

Ah therin lies another problem...your paying money per year just like us. Thats heresy in the PS3 gamers bible :P. We all know that even PSN Plus isnt on par with Xbox Live. Live gives out many discounts too every week.

LOL...its not heresy to pay, its heresy to pay for an online you already pay for. PSN Plus is proof of that. You see friend, I have to pay if I want about l the added extras and goodies. On live you have no CHOICE but to pay, but I pay it and after my year is up (which is in about six months) I'm not anymore. PSN Plus gives you early access to betas, free shows, tons of free games (conditional), early access to certain demos, cloud saving, blah blah blah. Thats all what you pay for. You pay for apps outside of PSN Plus, but everything else that is supposed to be is free. Hell even the Tester TV show (which is pretty fun to watch) is free. You get free access to episodes of first episodes of shows to get excited for them. The difference between PSN and Live is that it has its priorities straight.

PSN+ discounts games all the time...sometimes they go 100% free...like Arc the Lad that I'm playing right now, BttF episodes 1-5 and Sam And Max episodes 1-5.

PSN only games exist and Minis seem to be always conveniently overlooked sadly

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

The PS3 owners who shun 360/PC exclusives are usually the ones that have PS3/ PC combos. Im just taking a shot in the dark here. Unless you're a Halo or Gears fan if you have a PS3/PC combo is there even a reason to own a 360? This is coming from a guy who has a PS3/ 360 and my only reason to keep my 360 is the Witcher 2 and possibly Halo.

First off, there's a more complete list above. I have forgot many other games that i coul've put there.

Second, don't scratch Bastion from there. It's not on the PSN, so it's a valid point. Same thing goes for HMH, that by the way, it's a remake with new graphics and online mode.

Third, Metacritic... i don't use it to buy my games, and i prefer to keep it that way. So, don't throw that at me.
