And what about Amalur? You are into similar RPGs from what I remember (Divinity).

Not tried it yet...It is kind of a busy day on Xbox live especially with the new five maps for GEOW 3.

Well I downloaded the demo, and I started playing it as an noob considering I had no idea what to expect (yeah didn't follow the news about this game).

First of all it felt like I was playing an WRPG that took all the best elements of other WRPG's......you will think whole the time saw that in dragon age/Elder scrolls/fable/ME...

The fighting was fun, was not very challenging though still I enjoyed it :).  The story well only played it for 80-90 minutes so it is hard judge but it looks like it is taking itself to serious,  i hope the end product will have some of the humor like in divinity or Fable...,  lots of custom options (not that much like in Elder scrolls though) and when the game told me the real demo started and I had 45 minutes to play I got more than 10 open quests in like 10 minutes =p

Hmm is their something you want to know?  It is hard to judge it after 90 minutes ^^' .

Sounds good. I like to hear that it takes itself too serious. The humor is what puts me off the most with Fable. I can't stand Fable and I was afraid that Amalur would be very similar.

Okay I played it now and I didn't like it much. It's far too much Fable. Childish graphics, comical character, invisible walls, false open world, simplistic combat, steam tech and other anachronisms mixed into a fantasy world.

Good things were the somewhat complex spell/skill trees and the inclusion of alchemy.

It is indeed to much like Fable and the artstyle makes it hard to create an epic story.  That's why I complained about trying to be to serious.  The game could have been called an adventure with RPG elements....

I enjoyed The Darkness II demo too, although the very first gameplay segment where you're being dragged out of the restaurant and have to fend off all the thugs shooting at you was a pain in the ass. I must've died like half a dozen times before I got past that part lol.

Haven't dl'd Kingdoms of Amalur, honestly didn't really have any interest in it but after reading some of the impressions about it on here (Fable with more WRPG elements in it), I think I might dl it later just to give it a shot.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

You should definitely try Kingdoms of Amalur, played it myself and had an absolute blast. From what it looks, the game is going to be MASSIVE, a lot to master both in terms of combat and exploration. Also the combat system is much much better than any action RPG I know of, reminded me of devil may cry.

Personally I like the artstyle, its very beautiful and makes it more akin to JRPGs imo in terms of visuals. I played a little bit of Fable 2 back in the day, and this felt a ton better.
