This is not a thread for discussing sport terminology.
(And it's always going to be called "soccer" in the west, sorry.)

I know. Also of all the countries in the American continent, only 2 call it "soccer", so either you think that the US and Canada are the whole west or you think that Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay etc speak English and use soccer.

This is getting fairly off-topic, anyway. Two things.
Kangi, you are outstanding for a new user, welcome! ^_^
Also, every english teacher I had always says soccer, so that is what I learned.

I'm well aware of it. Anyway, just to close this discussion, the reason english teachers in the American continent call it soccer is because they're under the influence of the US and can't rationalize by themselves.

Whatever, just think a little bit and you'll see I'm right. Nearly all of the English teachers in Latin America have a US accent and don't question their usage of any word. I'm done with this.

Whatever floats your boat, I suppose. Case closed, then. Get back to the forum game, start back at morenoingrato, I suppose.

Kangi:
This thread seems to become offtopic, so I'll just start with the next rating:
User-name: 9/10. Fairly original and to easy to recognize. A bit too general, though.
Avatar: 8/10. Also something else than the usual babes or game heroes. I know the series, but it's too kiddy for my personal taste, thats why 8/10.
sig: 3/10. Just your friend code? Come on, you can do better.
Overall: 20/30
