What the heck are people watching this season? Its just so dry. I can't remember the last time a season was this uninteresting to me.

This season and the season before it were actually pretty crappy. The best I can offer you is Robotics;Notes (Not as good as Stiens;gate though)

Last season wasn't the best I've had but it was till okay. We got Hayate and SAO continued all the way through the ALO arc which I didn't expect but was surprised with nonetheless since I read the novels through that arc anyway (Hope they adapt GGO as well). We also had Chuunibyou and Pet girl of Sakurasou, which were both much MUCH better than the run off the mill romance anime. So all in all, wasn't too bad of a season if we don't focus solely on Shounen stuff.

This season though, my goodness does it suck hardcore. I might check out Robotics Notes to see what its about. I hope its not like the Arcana famiglia (why did I think this was going to be like reborn?) anime where it shows promise and flunks hard within the first two episodes.

Having read the novels (translated) I hated the SAO anime. Chuunibyou was good but it wasn't a K-ON. I want 2008 back.

That's what everyone says about every single adaptation into anime from source material. I think people have too high expectations from an adaptation. Personally I don't think SAO anime is as good as the VN, but I watch the anime expecting it to be not as good and just take it for what it is, an adaptation which isn't perfect. That said I get that the source material is almost always better.

Also I don't know if you can compare Chuunibyou to K-ON. Maybe on the comedy side but I really liked the romance aspect of the former as well. It just felt different from the typical harem romance that seems to be thrown around quite a lot. Look at Oreshura this season.

Fate/Stay Night is one of the worst animes Ive seen, Fate/Zero however is 100000x better.

Why do you think is so bad?

Anyone else shares this opinion?

He probably doesnt like the main character because he is generic I do agree with that lol.

But you should still watch it not only for the storyline but also for the fact that the rest of the characters make up for the main character's lack of appeal.

Weak main characters are something you get a lot more in Japanese media, possibly because its meant to be more escapist, like player characters in many WRPGs, or games like Zelda. I know i had a lengthy debate with a fellow study-abroad student in Japan about whether Ichigo of Bleach was a good or sucky character, and the crux of his argument was that Ichigo was meant to be non-complex and merely a person who moves the plot along, which explains why everyone around him is so much more interesting than he is: he is *you*

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Btw, I have seen Hellsing OVA X

it was okay, not the best ending.

Still an AMAZING show

It seems like it's a separate continuity. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-01-15/ghost-in-the-shell-arise-anime-to-launch-in-2013

I don't like the way Motoko looks, she looks to "feminine".  Where's the badass woman who used to kick ass and chew bubble gum?

Likely Motoko's just a bit smaller/shorter overall. She seems "younger" too, so likely in a less mature cybernetic body.

Certainly don't see how this one's more feminine than the last one.

she doesn't have that mean look to her.  This incarnation looks like a secretary.

I know I will never be satisfied by an adaptation, I think. On one hand every single change to original material makes me cringe, but on the other - perfect adaptations (Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai, Medaka Box) get really boring, because I've seen it all. I suppose the closest to a perfect adaptation as one could get is Yosuga no Sora or Amagami SS - both managed to include multiple routes from the original games into a single show, though how Amagami did it might seem a bit too concise. Haven't played either of those, though, so I can't say much.

Yo man, I'm really happy for all these adaptations and Ima give them props but Yosuga No Sora had one of the best soundtracks of all time; OF ALL TIME!

I need to watch this anime ;o

I've heard good stuff about it *-*

It is well known world-wide mostly in latin america, france, spain and italy, but it hadn't had sucess in the USA, cause it Saint Seiya didn't enter there at its time

But it has given birth to 3 spin offs (lost canvas, episode g and omega)

and 1 canonic sequel (saint seiya the next dimension)

Problem with Seint Seiya here is that Dic liscensed it... they also liscensed Sailor Moon originally.  I think Saint Seiya can make a comeback on Toonami if Funimation picks it up (My how times have changed).

Saint Seiya Omega is coming to the US, but it's nothing like the original, Omega targets the children
