Forums - Gaming - Five reasons why the PS Vita is in big trouble, not just in little China

I think we can use a Rol-index to see how many new users the site has. Couple of months ago I was shocked when almost nobody fall, but it appears that these are new times ;)

Btw, point 3 is definitely my favourite. So much true with so few words.

4. No second pair of shoulder buttons

My goodness! What a horrible flaw! Write those articles on how the Vita will have to relaunch, IGN! How could they miss something so obviously, glaringly important? This shall spell their undoing!

(Sorry, I just like making fun of IGN.)

Anyway, I am very much enjoying some of the over-the-top responses in this thread.

4. Rear touchpad can be used as R2/L2.
"because no self-respecting gamer would ever play without actual buttons."
You don't have to. Buttons can be combined with touch to make for the best gameplay experience.

People still moan and groan about the lack of second analog stick even though they can use the touch screen.

You mean on the 3DS? It's different.
A touchscreen is nowhere near as good as an analog stick.

Touch screen is no where near as good as buttons.

Sony will announce an add on to cover up one of its analog sticks. Mark my words.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Imagine how many noobs would have fell for it if people hadn't given away the secret so early. This happens every time. Still fun thread though.

Too early to tell about how successful or not it's going to be-

3DS got off to a bad start put seems to be doing quite well at the moment.

Smartphones are becoming very popular for mobile gaming and the base tech (like CPU/GPU and RAM) is constantly improving every year. Vita base tech cannot improve.

Vita is very appealing to quite a specific but limited demographic imo. That is to say the Sony PSP fans and kids who want it over the 3DS. Sony will need to market it to a new crowd like Nintendo did with the Wii and MS with Kinect.

Big screen console experience on the small screen but not quite as good as the current big screen console experience..... see Uncharted Vita for one example. Needs to come up with some outstanding games that make it really stand out from the crowd including the current HD consoles.

Eighth gen around the corner. Will make Vita look last gen. So much for console experience in the palm of your hands.

Vita is d0m3d twice: because it's d0m3d and because being d0m3d it will have to pay royalties to Ninty, that owns d0m3's IP.

Nice to know how the older members of these forums treat new users, I'll make sure not to stroke someone's ego next time and amazed this thread wasnt locked by a moderator yet despite warnings being sent left and right on other trolling issues.

It's a hazing ritual that we all had to go through with Rol...

Former something....

Vita may not had a good lauch in Jpn, but Sony still had enough time to fixing for US,EU, and global launch. I'm Nintendo Fan and I'm not gonna judge here.
