I am too lazy to check, but I don't recall March of last year being so utterly packed full of titles. I can think of at least a dozen either must-buys or quality titles all jammed into March like a clown car.

(forgive me if I miss a few am going off of Amazon)

March 6: Mass Effect 3, Max Payne 3, Silent Hill HD Collection, Street Fighter x Tekken, XCOM, MLB the Show 12 and MLB 2k12 (for sports fans)

March 11: Mario Party 9 (the only quality Wii game coming out this year I can think of aside from Xenoblade)

March 13: Silent Hill Downpour

March 20: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City, Ninja Gaiden 3, Armored Core 5

March 27: Tiger Woods 12 (more love for sports fans)

And these are just the big titles I can think of. Vita will have a few more releases as well.

What is everyone going to be picking up? As for myself, I am grabbing everything except for sports titles and Mario Party 9 (don't have local people to play it with anymore). XCOM might be a wait and see as well. 

I already decided not to buy the Vita till later, and I have been slowly paying off my preorders for months, but this is still a lot to ask the average gamer in just one month.

Does anyone else think this is just too much for one month ... feels like September, October, and November combined into one month. I honestly don't think I bought this many games even during the holidays. Also, a lot of these have collectors editions which make them even more costly if you are collector like me.

Yea I noticed to. Im gettin VITA definitely. Mario Party 9 will wait till my brother comes back for a visit

RE looks decent from what ive seen im more of a solo gamers so idk how it will play solo, better be a demo if they want my money

I am buying Kid Icarus and maybe Metal Gear Solid 3D in March, in addition to Mass Effect 3

I am about 80% sure I am getting Max Payne 3. The whole problem with it is it is not exactly a game that I am dieing to play, and I would bet my entire video game collection that there will be a Max Payne 3 complete/goty/ultimate edition sometime in the next 8-12 months.

Even Homefront is gettin an edition with all the dlc packed in which makes me hesitant to buy anything that will have DLC and anything published by Rockstar, Warner Bros, Obsidian, and Bethesda ... I think EA just did it with Bad Company 2 and that was it. 

On the other hand, it has a decent looking collectors edition, and I did enjoy the first Max Payne.

It is a big month. Still you are totally ignoring Halo 4, Twisted Metal and GTA V, FF XIII-2 and probably many more. It is not too much for one month because most gamers will only be buying one of those games at most.

Mass Effect 3 was the only "big" game I saw on that list...

I might get ninja gaiden 3 but thats the only game I'm interested in on that list. The title is deceiving though. Not one of 2012's "big" games are coming out in March. Grand theft auto V,BlackOps2 will outsell all those games combined. Mass Effect 3 and Mario Party 9 are probably the only gamescoming out that will sell over 3mil.
