Forums - Sony - What the hell? My PS3 is breaking?

My PS3 has only frozen twice and that was during Warhawk so it might have been the server. Thats a real bummer...

I don't even have to playing a game. I could be surfing the net, or even messing with my network settings, and it will just freeze!

I have a two year replacement plan, but there are no 60g's left, and I don't want all of my saved data to be gone.

about your saved data you can always tranfer it somewhere else, and it will work

You can use 1- 2 GB usb card (flash drives?) can move all your saved game file.

Ah, man. That sucks. Another reason why Sony gets a big "f***you" pointed in their direction... You can't even get an equally-equipped model anymore.

I hope mine doesn't break... I love the upscaled PS2 games.

Hey Grandmaster...this is not me trolling at all.

I noticed that you said you own a copy of Metroid Prime 3....but haven't played it yet.

Why don't you use this time to send the machine back to Sony and play a littlle Metroid while you wait. Could be a case of perfect timing.

When does it freeze?

Maybe you have it stuck in a cabinet or something where it can't get fresh air?

Someone did a test with infrared cameras to see if the PS3 was cooler on it's edge or horizontal and it proved that it is a fair bit cooler when it's horizontal... so if nothing else, maybe try that?

With the few threads like these that have popped up recently things have started to get a little worrisome.

You must be like one of 3 people to have this problem. I feel bad for you. Can't say I know what your going through though, if you are looking for support, ask anyone whose had the RRoD!
