Pokemon is the second most successful franchise in the world officially, but with its films and card game, it's arguably more successful than even Mario. THere are obviously a number of factors regarding why Pokemon is so successful, but I wanted to know what you thought was the most important of these. Also, do you think that Pokemon will remain popular into the future, or will Nintendo run out of original ideas and cause the series to go into decline

So, what makes Pokemon so brilliant?

- The relatively long gaps between main releases?

- The battling?

- The trading?

- The music?

- Mass appeal?

Its Simple yet Complex.

The Tv show has fans but its the video games that really established the franchise.

All the games on the handhelds are massive successes and are well liked.

It's so cute you cannot stop to catch them all.

The handheld games are fun even though its the same thing over and over.


You play a game and have 8 big boss fights and especially the recent Black actually made the game a challenge this time.
I wished they add more puzzles.

The final four fights and the last boss fight is always a great challenge.

The most legendary pokemon battle is easily the Fight against Red in the end of Pokemon Gold and Silver (which are considered the best ones) .

ALso Missingo is likely the famous glitch in Video game history.

There are 649 pokemon now.
Imagine they add in achievements where each pokemon defeat another different pokemon, giving 648 achievements per pokemon.


That will net 420552 achievements for all 649 pokemon.

That'll give you an incentive to build up every single pokemon and forever be a virgin.

Shame the games arent good anymore though i enjoyed them once.

no clue, i got platinum edition based on they hype here and absolutely hated it. i liked the cartoon though back in the day.
