Not quite. As far as I know, there is no historical information about him dying. Its only been speculated that he died. Although it is fact that pretty much everyone else dies.

well considering he is a rebel leader and a very determined man, if he survived he would been hunted down or most likley reappeared and fought again.

The fact after the final battle the slave rebellions ceased, clearly show he died in the final climatic battle.

By the way how does Game of Thrones compare to Spartacus. the blu-ray has just come out in my country. i want to get it, but i dont want to spend money on it (blu-rays are expensive) without some sort of understanding on how good it is.

Spartacus is currently my faviourite show ever. and i've heard great things about Game of Thrones, which is adult in tone and presentation like Spartacus. seems like an obvious choice right??

the thing is one of my friends compared Game of Thrones to Lord of the Rings. and personally i feel those films are okay, i dont think Peter Jackson is that good, and i dont think Lord of the Rings is anywhere near as exciting as something like Spartacus.

so what are peoples thoughts on this??

I haven't watched Game of Thrones, but from everything I've heard, it surpasses Spartacus. It has a 9.4 on IMDB from 100k users, and Spartacus is at 8.7 from 51k users.

I hate it when people compare Game of thrones to Lords of the Ring, it is not the same at all the only thing the two have in comon is that its fantasy. 

I personally loved Game of thrones but hated Lord of the Rings. Game of thrones has a lot political content actually most of the show is political but not in a boring way. If you don´t know what to do just download the Pilot, and if you like it buy it if not then not.

Yeah i did that. and the first ep was decent, but i'm not sure where its all going, its a bit complicated because they throw you into the deep end. but i'm looking foward to seeing how it turns out. i got it on blu ray, and i'm impressed with the presentation, great production values!

WHOA that Egyptian is fucking badass ! First he beats the living crap out of Crixus, then he gets hit by 4 ARROWS and he doesn't even change his facial expression, walks normally to the archer (that betraying sack of old shit) and cuts his fucking head in half!!! He starting to become my favourite character

They're really playing him up. I imagine he's going to kill someone major in the last episode.
