Episode 5 was the peak of the season so far. I kinda felt sad for Glabber after his wife played and humiliated him like that, but now Im kinda glad that bitch will have to stay with him till the end.

Oh yeah, I felt myself feeling bad for Glaber as well. Considering that I despised the guy, I knew he was getting the screws put to him. Ilythia got what she deserves. I still think her child is Spartacus'

Given the historical context, going into the last episode of the season will be glorious. I expect the Spartacus-Glabber feud to come to a head.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

But you do know that Glabber doesnt die in Thrid Servile War right? Instead, Spartacus and all his allies get slaughtered.

Spartacus defeats Glabber at the battle of Mount Vesuvius. Do you have any references that state that Glabber was mentioned after the battle? I can't find any information that mentions him after the battle.

Had Glaber died in 3rd Servile war, there would have been a cross next to his name in Commanders and Leaders list.
New episode was unbelievable. Not as good as the last episode, but the ending made it go from "good" to "great".
Spartacus has cemented itself as the best TV in history for me.
Naviea got a little bit better this episode. Glabber is surfing into Battiatus/Asher levels of treachery, and the positioning for the next few episodes is great.

He is well known for killing 1 out of ten of his soldiers if they ever retreated for battle. Seems harsh but it worked. Reason being soldiers started to fear Crassus more then Spartacus. Nonetheless, Spartacus shook the Romans to the core and it took thier top leaders and armies to defeat him. |
I think (not sure) the lead writer (Steven de Knight) has said their aiming to make 5 seasons which tell the story of Sparatacus entire life. i'm guessing Gods of the Arena is not part of that 5, and these seasons arnt that long so it seems feasible to me 5 seasons is about right.
they've already mentioned Marcus Crassus in the first season and again in this season, so we can this is building to his entrance. i can imagine him being introducted towards the end of season 3 (Starz have picked Spartacus up for a 3rd season)/ beginning of 4th season. but we will surely have more villains in the league of Glaber before that.
just saw ep5 and 6, awesome. felt sorry for the slave Mira killed...
its very enjoyable to watch Liam (although you cant help but miss Andy in rare moments), and in all fairness Naveia is getting better. i wasnt happy with her actress change, but i can see why it was important to keep her relevant to the script. she looks to be developing character wise, as does Crixus.
epsiode 5 was awesome, but i was more impressed with ep6. which is like a fallout episode of the repercussions of previous events. really like Asher, and his band of thugs, the guy is a villain who i can see going into the 3rd season.
If they do his whole life I think many who are do not know the story would find the ending upsetting.
