Japanese publication says Nintendo most likely still around in 10 years, others not so much

Weekly Japanese publication Shukan Gendai has gone through a list of publishers and developers to figure out which ones will still exist 10 years from now. Now did they decide these companies and their likelihood of survival? We have absolutely no idea! What we do know is that they used a scoring system of 1-10, with 10 meaning the company will definitely be around in 10 years, and 0 meaning they'll be dead.

• Gree: 6 points
• Capcom: 1 point
• Koei Tecmo: 0 points
• Konami: 1 point
• Square Enix: 0 points
• Sega: 0 points
• Sony Computer Entertainment: 2 points
• Nintendo: 7 points
• Namco Bandai: 2 points

Looks like the team at Shukan Gendai has a lot of faith in Nintendo!

Wow, an anti-doom thread about Nintendo? This will never fly on an internet gaming forum. Just wait until the *cough* experts get here.

"GREE, a leading mobile social gaming network worldwide with a reach of over 140 million users, aims to bring mobile social gaming to the next level"

Look like they have great faith in social gaming.

Based on these score, most console and handheld developers all fade in next 10 years.
Strange, all fade and Nintendo still lives.Does that mean Nintendo will dominate all?

I predict the Earth will most likely still be around in 10 years.

What? No more SE? but then how would I play Final Fantasy 13 re-re-re-release Super HD on my iPhone 12? :(

Don't worry, Nintendo will buy them! Of course that means you'll have to play it on the Nintendo 5DX.

Wow! I'm surprised at the amount of doom predicted concerning those other companies.

Capcom, Konami, Sony, Square, and Sega all appear to be done.

I'm struggling to imagine a world where EVERY videogames company except Nintendo and some social game people that I've never heard of are the only ones left. There's no way that this would ever happen. Anything below 5 should be really in trouble, but I don't think that Sony or Square are anywhere near that point - let alone on the "2" or "0" mark! Maybe the voting system sucked, who knows?

Yeah that was lame, I apologize. Seriously though, of course they'll be around, but will they still make consoles, or just make games (like Sega).
