Forums - Sony - People have who PS3's but that don't Fold At Home / Poll

Because Marijuana has already been proven decades ago as the cure of cancer, so wasting my MONEY on this would just be stupid. Any cancer cure that ever gets released will be SUPPRESSED in an instant by the medical-industrial complex. Don't you get it? They make money off continually supplying you with expensive QUICK FIXES. Drugs which you have to keep buying. This is what happens when you become too CAPITALIST and free market like America. When everything is privatised and put into the hands of profit-making corporations, you start to have very big, immoral problems.

its not that i like cancer....just i kinda doubt my ps3 is the solution to it

Why would you doub that :3 you can not like the PS3 for a million reasons, but when it comes to number crunching, the PS3 sadly outperforms most dedicated computers XD

Cell Tech is a pretty nerdy math wiz :/

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

I FOLD. It plays music now so when i go to sleep i leave it on playing music, then i fold when i go to work. I would have a lot more units than i do now, but everytime I swap hard drives it resets the whole count.

Off Topic:
Something weird about the PS3, is that when HDD breaks in my laptop (happened 2 times since I got a PS3, lol I KNOW I KNOW! It drops off of my bed.) I can just put the broken HDD in my PS3 and it magically works. It somehow fixes broken sectors, I guess. Weird...

Durr it costs money, and I don't want to wear my lil ps3 out.. that'll happen come GT5

thats why on your contents insurance you should have accidental damage. If my tv or ps3 ever goes gay im just going to knock em over and say the kids (evn tho i dont have any) did it. My pal did the same to his tv.

I fold up to 5 completed as well, rest of you 'saving your ps3's' must love cancer.

Silly logic. Not wanting to use my PS3 for folding at home does not = loving cancer.

In the long run, if all the PS3 users left their PS3 on all day running F@H, along with all the PC owners who could run F@H but don't, the combined CO2 pumped out through the extra use of electricity would probably cost more lives through global warming and it's effects attributable to those CO2 emissions, than cancer.

Is it that you guys like cancer, alzheimers, etc and don't want a cure for these wonderful diseases?

Thats probably the stupidest thing anyone has ever said. How could you possibly think people want these diseases. I'm not even gonna answer your topic question. That is a stupid thing to say.

F@H

Cures diseases(I dont know how though) even though I dont trust it, I still use it.

I hardly ever plug in my PS3, I have to many things in my power strip and the PS3 gets used the least.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Well in winter the energy would not actually be wasted. It would be used to heat the house vs other means of heating the house. But yah, it would be nice if the energy to run our houses did not come from burning Coal and other fossil fuels. Maybe one day we'll be able to use solar for everything. It'd be nice if we had a cure for cancer by then too :) Also, cancer kills 1/2. I don't think the CO2 pumped out by the extra use of electricity from FAH would amount to all that much.. I mean, how much time would the ps3 have to be on for it to compare to 1 hour of using a clothes drier?
