Okay I'm done debating about this, you are way too hard to talk too, Sony owns them they develop for them. Sony, itself, doesn't make the games.

They own them, and they are therefore a part of Sony.

I know they own them and they are part of the Sony Family, but no one from actual Sony really develops games, their company's do.

That still doesn't make sense. The people that worked for the companies they bought are now working for Sony, so they are Sony people.

What I'm saying is that they used to be apart of their own company then Sony bought them and made them part of the Sony Family, that does make them kind of like Sony but not really. Take it kind of like an adopted child, they are apart of their root family and have their blood but someone else takes them into their family and calls them their child and treats them as such, they still aren't originally from that family, though.

i'm confused are you trying to imply that nintendo doesn't do that also?

if thats the case what would you call retro studios and monolift soft?

or is it that it doesn't matter if its not nintendo?

ot looking at how things are currently its obvious that sony would be the most likely company to leave

i would be happy if either sony or MS quit so then i wouldnt have to buy both of there consoles, i hate buying more than one console per gen

i wouldnt mind if sony quit i dont like many of there exclusive games and it seem they lost the hunger they once had for the gaming industry lack/loss of 3rd party exclusives this gen along with timed DLC stuff and the indie games that are on live. but then again i have to consider there reliability for HW this is where i have issues with MS, along with there accessories, sony includes rechargeable batteries on there controllers and so far hasnt charged for online.

for the sake of the thread id pick sony i dont think Nintendo will go anywhere idk know bout there profits but i dont believe any of there consoles lost any and they have the handhelds on lock, MS just started theyve been pretty aggressive this gen and ran there business pretty good it'd take something pretty big to take them up at this juncture, sony the only one that lost alot lately moneys, 3rd party exclusives, and alot of market share in certain countries

WOW. This thread got alot more post/views than i predicted. :)

OT: I really hope Sony does not leave the gaming industry anytime soon. Sure things did not go as they planned this gen, But they did well enough to make a big impact for both hardcore and casual gamers this gen.

If Sony ever left the gaming industry, i think i would honestly stop console gaming and just play Pokemon games for the rest of my life... (Assuming Nintendo will still make them)

People are just saying Sony because they are the least stable of the 3 at the moment.

Even if they were to cut out one or two sectors due to their financial troubles, there's no way it would be their gaming sector.

So all in all, none of the three are going anywhere for a while.

There should a none for the foreseeable future option.

All 3 were financially successful this gen in all products they offered.
Sony/Nintendo could both sell 1/2 of the portables they did previously and still be profitable from them, so there is no reason to think their slow start (3DS didn't even have a slow start) is any indication of potential closing up shop.

You have to realize Atari and Sega left hardware after MANY large financial failures. Nintendo has only ever had one, almost 20 years ago with the Virtual Boy, and Sony has always been profitable overall. (PS3 will be an overall profitable venture when it retires, especially if you figure in its impact on bluray).

MS with its 360 and Kinect will make up all loses from previous years by the time it retires.

None of these companies can possible be predicted to leave gaming in any reasonable future.

thankyou pezus. nitendopie is arguing for the sake of he. Shouyld never argue with an idiot i know

How rude. There is absolute no reason to call names. It's my opinion and that's your opinion, we were debating and I said I was done no need to keep going on and then calling me that. I have stopped therefor you should have too.

I understand every single game company has bought another developing company and I never said Nintendo didn't, but! Nintendo does make their own games too.

Technically, Sony  Nintendo doesn't develop, but rather copy and steal.

Therefore I pick Microsoft.

Fixed.

Well I would say Nintendo but given the amount of money they made off Wii and the DS is...more than I expected. Sony may have to lay off or get bought by another company if things don't shape up. Microsoft is number one right now undoubtedly. I would say Nintendo is number two and Sony is last although there gaming sector is doing pretty well but the company as a whole... no explanation needed.

So you didnt play video games before Sony made video games? o.O?

Well, The first video games i ever played were only the PS1. Final fantasy 7, Crash bandicoot, Tekken 3, Spyro, and a few others bought alot of good memories to me when i was young. :)

Sony as a gaming company really bought alot of joy for me as a young gamer which is why i would be competly devastated if the were to leave the gaming industry. :(

(Best video game boot ever)
