Forums - PC - Video card questions

Hey gang,

So I am in the process of upgrading my PC and I stumbled across a video card that I think would be a good fit for me, it's the ATI Radeon HD 5670. What do you guys think, is this a good card. Basically I want my PC to be able to play all the modern games (Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite etc.)

I'm not sure, but you could always try this site: http://www.game-debate.com/
Just search a game, type in your specs and it will tell you if you can play it and on what settings.

It really depends on many things such as other components of your PC, money you are looking to spend and games you're looking to play. Technically speaking, this may be a good card for you if your PC is 3+ years old and you're looking to play games on mid settings and 720p resolution.

However I sure hope you don't plan on spending more than 100 bucks on that card.

Maybe look at 5770? Check this link out, personally I would aim at least the equivalent of gts450.

Did a quick search and found this  http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908  as long as your power supply can handle it I would say it's the card to get.

Bad O-D-C!

Don't shop at BestBuy unless it is on sale. They'll rip you off ... Use shopbot.ca to compare prices, go to redflagdeals.com, or stick to memoryexpress, newegg or tigerdirect

Effectively, this is a graphics card you could buy for $50 to $75 on sale that BestBuy is selling for $175.

Newegg has the Radeon HD 6850 selling for around $150 ...

I just got the Radeon HD 6850. Excellent card.

My former card is an HD 5750. That's a pretty good card too. Can play games on High settings with it. Older games max out on it.

EDIT: I got my 6850 for cheaper than that 5670 on Amazon.
