I beat Dark Souls right as the year was ending.

I either started Ar Tonelico or continued playing Orcs Must Die as my first game.

For purchases: Last for 2011 was LOTR: War in the North. Haven't bought anything yet this year.

Last game bought: Sonic CD XBLA (i bought Goldeneye 007 reloaded and WWE '12 before Sonic, but started them after)

Last game played 2011: Gears of War 3 (was working on the 500 rocket kills in the silverback)

First game bought 2012: I haven't bought one yet, but Rayman Origins looks like a prime candidate, the demo was excellent.

First game played 2012: Left 4 Dead (i got nostalgic, and Left 4 Dead stuck out like a sore thumb, still a healthy amount of people playing it online on 360 too)
