Nice...Easily the most impressive TV I've ever seen in person. I probably wont get it myself as I can't spend 3000+ dollars on something that has no warranty in my country. Canada doesn't sell them and while I could import from USA I just can't take the risk.

So if you buy something from the US, the manufactorer's warranty doesn't count in Canada?

Well for most things this is not a problem but not Mitsubishi TVs... They don't do TVs in Canada and if you decide to import, you're on your own.

I never understood why people care how thin their TV is. Most TVs sold today are thin enough. Plus picture quality is king. Hell, I'd much rather have the Mitsubishi Laservue 75 inch TV than most thin LED on the market as it blows them away in terms of PQ.

Same thing with tablets. Manufacturers brag at how thin and light their tablets are and the first thing people do when they buy them is stick them in a protective case doubling the thickness and weight.

That's the exact TV I'm going to get.  Either this year or next, whenever the price drops a little more.

Only 3000+ dollars? Wow, that's cheap

A complete bargain for what you get...

That definitely sucks.  What if you paid the $300-$500 many sites are offering for their warranties?  Would they not honor that, either?

@ pezus

Yea, they are great.  The model disolitude linked is actually the older one.  If you shop around you can find the newer one for a few hundred more, but it has all the 3D tech integrated, so all you need is a player and the glasses.

I only know of such waranties what you buy from specific stores. For this TV I'd have to get it and ship it to a warehouse at the border and drive over with a van as  I've not found a company that is willing to ship these to Canada yet. Not sure who would want to ensure that lol.

As far as 3D and these TVs, they are amazing. They actually work on a slightly different method than most normal 3D tvs ,called "120Hz time-sequential wobulated 3D" (aka checkerboard). They work with all HDMI 1.4 3D stuff and are only TVs you can buy that will run 1080p resolution content at 60hz per eye while gaming. All other TVs only support 720p at 60hz or 1080p at 24hz per eye.

This is going to be my last post on this subject, as I feel kinda bad for hijacking the thread to talk about a different TV.

Anyway, I feel your pain.  That's a really shitty situation you got there.

LG is also showcasing at CES an 84" ultra definition 3DTV with a 2160p resolution. It looks pretty sweet but i can't even imagine the price it will be.

Yes! And they are making a 84" 4K 3D LCD TV too! Me wants!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Im just curious here about why you would want a 4K TV display today? There is virtually no content available at that resolution. Broadcast and digital distribution is struggling to meet 1080p let alone 4K which is probably 10 years away...

Very impressive! but it looks fragile, I foresee many of those tv's breaking accidentally when set on the same spot where people place their current tv's.

I want one since 2010 :( We were supposed to have 32" Oled TVs on market this year but again delay after delay.
And once they are in shops even more waiting till they are below a grand.

Arghhhh
