And to think, I have the PlayStation 3D Display (actually, 2 of them) and thought that panel was ultra-thin! This is impressive and could be a purchase within the next 365x2 days!

So you're the one that bought them.... I JEST!!

I saw one (PS display) and didnt think it was that thin... I'm pretty sure my 55" Sammy is thinner.

Well I went from a 32", 2009, Samsung 1080p TV, so the Display is much thinner (and still relatively thin next to most modern TVs). Regardless, this OLED has piqued my interest, but I probably won't crack until 2014 at the earliest.

I never understood why people care how thin their TV is. Most TVs sold today are thin enough. Plus picture quality is king. Hell, I'd much rather have the Mitsubishi Laservue 75 inch TV than most thin LED on the market as it blows them away in terms of PQ.

Same thing with tablets. Manufacturers brag at how thin and light their tablets are and the first thing people do when they buy them is stick them in a protective case doubling the thickness and weight.

That's the exact TV I'm going to get.  Either this year or next, whenever the price drops a little more.

Nice...Easily the most impressive TV I've ever seen in person. I probably wont get it myself as I can't spend 3000+ dollars on something that has no warranty in my country. Canada doesn't sell them and while I could import from USA I just can't take the risk.

Where in the world would the speakers go? A frame is needed to have speakers, no?

The girl is very nice !! What is this topic for anyway ? Parrots ?

Will there be 32" OLED TVs too? or will they all be bigger than that?
32" is the max I need... bigger than that is just way too big for my room... even 32" is sorta big for my room :S
I was going to buy the Samsung D5500... the 32" smart TV LED... I guess I should be glad I didn't?

How long until Super AMOLED Plus TVs?... :P

yeah there would be but it will take time

its not that it costs alot different from 55inches one's

but the oled tech itself is expensive and the only one that will buy it are the people who already spend alot to buy big screen TV's

the normal consumer goes for small screen and low price

so flat.... but still...

I would do the girl...

Haha nice

Yes !! the girl is also 4 mm thin....

Back on topic, one of the caracteristics of the oled is that it's flexible. The old dream of the screen that you can roll under your bed as a carpet.

Caracteristics such as efficiendy and power consumption can be very interesting, since the oled technology does not need a backlighting. Response time as well, and contrast ratio can be infinite...

Does anybody remember the Sony oled TV showcased a few years ago ? those were 15 inches oled screen 5mm thin. Is LG pwning Sowny on that market ?

So if you buy something from the US, the manufactorer's warranty doesn't count in Canada?

That looks awesome, price??
