It looks terrible. A frame is important to not make the experience too confusing with surrounding objects.

What do you mean?

It looks like it blends in too much with the surrounding like as if its a poster lol

Than again the whole picture looks messed up , whats with the background behind the TV o.O.

Oh right. Yeah I guess so, maybe it would look better in person and with moving images?

How long until we get a 32" Full HD OLED 3D (without glasses) TV for under £500? 5 years? 10?

Those pics are pretty cool looking

Looks really weird cuz we're used to current TVs with those big frames, but really really cool nonetheless :)

And to think, I have the PlayStation 3D Display (actually, 2 of them) and thought that panel was ultra-thin! This is impressive and could be a purchase within the next 365x2 days!

So you're the one that bought them.... I JEST!!

I saw one (PS display) and didnt think it was that thin... I'm pretty sure my 55" Sammy is thinner.

i got mine for $299.

i first pre-ordered off amazon.com for $499.

then a week after it got delivered in the mail, the price droped to $399.
so then i returned the $499 Display (kept my free Resistance 3 that came with it ), bought it for $399.

then 1 day later bestbuy had some special deal, and had it listed for $299.
so i returned the $399 tv, and bought it at best buuy for $299.

i was quite happy about that.

i got the TV, Resistance 3, MotorStorm, glasses (x2) all for less than $350.

OLED have awesome contrast which will help you to differentiate, its like a totally new thing

also if 3D and OLED come together then it will be just magic

The actual product likely won't be quite so tiny. Right now, they're probably just showcasing their tech - make it look as slim and sleek as possible to make it stand out. I expect they'll throw a 1cm frame on the TV, particularly so they can have buttons on the side and a speaker as well.

Nonetheless, see how thin they are, too? Only about a 1/4-inch thick. You could probably hang 'em on the wall with a couple nails like a picture frame or something. I wouldn't want to DO that - I'd probably hang it on screws anchored into studs or something - but imagine the possibilities! Run the input and power cords through the wall and the dang thing actually looks LIKE a poster on the wall. *drools.*

they have a special stand for SUPER LED and OLED screens which have buttons and other things

don't worry you can still hang them, but a wire will go and be connected to a stand where you can control

OR

you can just get rid of the button and be all remote controlled
