One of the biggest questions to be answered with the release of the next generation of consoles will be that of online subscription. Microsoft already charge for their Live service, and Nintendo have been quoted (I can't remember where) saying that they'd have to charge for their online service if they made it any better. Sony may wish to charge for online for the PS4 after seeing the huge amounts of money that Microsoft make from theirs.

I think Sony will charge too. If I really have to I am willing to pay $50 per year, but only if I have several games to play online (right now I don't).

Imho Sony will keep basic online gaming free and push all the new stuff (cross game voice chat and whatever else they add) to PSN+.

Nintendo will neglect internet again so free too.

Sony will charge next gen. PSN Plus is a gateway for next gen.

wont be 50$ probably 10$ every month or 100$ for the year deals like that, Sony and Microsoft will charge and Nintendo will get better friends code all will be p2p again

Sony won't charge for something that was previously free. You guys are stupid if you think they would do that.
If Sony does charge for online they lose of the main advantages they have over Microsoft.

Sony as seen with the Vita will remain free and better than the PS3.

Sony has already shown us a glimpse of their future card hand with the VITA.

PS4's basic online will be free just as now, and will have upgrade options like the PSN+
