i never play killzone,, MAG or SOCOM without the Move. its vastly supperior to the DS3

Even Killzone? I am suspicous. I'd love to hear inputs from other Move owners.

especially Killzone 3. it is by far the best motion control implementation into an FPS ever.
i would never think of going into an online match using the DS3, and not the Move.

its just vastly supperior. and sniping with it could never be easier. i rape people in multiplayer. if it werent for me orginally starting with the DS3, my kill/death would be even higher than the 2.18 it is at now.

So you admit that you're a rapist?

Anyway, I'm even considering Move because of this information. Btw, are you Halogamer1989?

no im obama-chngweneed

hut i will say it took a little practice. when the beta came out a month before the game released, my brother and i practiced on botzone (playing multiplayer offline with computer players). i first set the difficulty to the easiest setting, then as i would get better and better, i increased the difficulty, until i got really really good against the hardest difficulty. then i moved on to the online multi, and was pretty darn good.

i would suggest you make the deadzone for the aim very small, and turn on the camera assist (that puts a yellow box around the enemy, and helps keep them in the center of the screen, so you arent trying to shoot them while they are in the corner of the screen). i used many classes, like medic and engineer for a long time, and did quite good with them. but then i wanted to try something new, SNIPING. sniping is soooo easy (with camera assist on). my kiil/death skyrocketed when i became a sniper.

also you could practice by playing the campaign.

side note: i really liked playing inFAMOUS with move, it was great

Practice? Okay, I think Move doesn't sound quite as attractive anymore.

i said you might need practice.

i only needed a little, like 1 hour of botzone.

that was my first FPS with move, so you may be more fimilar with move than i was at the time.

What's the point of this thread? Move has serious (=non-casual) games like GoldenEye 007:Reloaded, Killzone 3, Heavy Rain, Time Crisis & Deadstorm Pirates, House of the Dead Overkill, No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD, Dead Space Extraction HD, MAG, Socom 4, The Sly Collection, Little Big Planet 2, and many many more. Upcoming: Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection.

Kinect has none of these, but instead there is stuff like Kinectimals and dancing games. So if you are a core gamer, what's there to discuss?

ohh one of these "core gamers are elite gamers BS - posts" again.

I am a core gamer and I play and prefer Kinect over Move.
Why? because casual games on a casual device make sense (Kinect). Core games on a casual device don't make sense (Move). Me and pretty much everyone else prefer the controller for core titles anyway.

The Move is a Wiimote copy. There is nothing to argue about. It failed to show something that makes it superior than the Wii. In fact games like Wii Sports, Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy is head an shoulders above everything Sony has done in the past 15 months. (Sales AND Quality).

I just got Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports Season 2 and Sonic Free Riders for Xmas and I will have a blast with it together with friends. Other than that I am currently playing Skyrim and will start Rage after that. This core vs casual crap needs to stop.

good for you?

doesnt change the fact that Move has actual core games, with many that work great with it, and are in fact superior with it. see: Killzone, MAG, and SOCOM.

how the move is just a casual device is beyond me.

and how you think the Move is just a wiimote copy, while Kinect is original is also beyond me. i guess you just ignore the facts that Move had been in development and had been shown before the wii was even rumored.

and this whole you putting down everything Sony/playstation crap needs to stop. seriously its almost every single post, we get it, you like xbox... A LOT.

If these core games with Move support were what core gamers want, Move would actually sell, but it doesn't. Move, or any motion control scheme, is more a casual experience. Move failed for the casuals as well, because there is a "been there done that" felling that comes with it.

This Move had been in development before the Wii was announced is fanboy talk. There are hundreds of different concepts in the work at Sony, Nintendo and MS. Nintendo was the only one that had the balls to bet on motion controls big time. It is not about concepts on drawing boards - you have to do the next step and bring it to the market. That is what Nintendo did 4 years earlier than Sony. And in these 4 years all Sony came up with is more or less the same experience as the Wiimote with bad software support.

This has nothing to do with the fact that I like the Xbox.

"And in these 4 years all Sony came up with is more or less the same experience as the Wiimote with bad software support."

well actually the exact same could be levelled at the kinect vs the eyetoy and other web cameras

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au3UJHItYgc

up to this very day i can't understand whats so new and revolutionary about it as people have been doing the exact same gameplay on web cameras and eyetoy for years and years now...

and if you ask me even though much was promised the kinect hasn't done much so far to differentiate itself from whats been done already...

whenever i've raised this issue all people have said is that "the kinect is so much moar advanced" "3d depth sensing" "cmos sensing" etc...

but if thats the case why hasn't the gameplay changed at all?

edit: then again i'm forgetting, microsoft put $500 million in advertising behind kinect to convince people that it is indeed new and revolutionary so i guess i shouldn't be surprised...

Its because of the technical limitations of Kinect.. you do undertand that its only connected by a modified USB 2.0 ? Kinect has a very low resolution, this means lag and miscomunication often happens.. However, MS really out did themselves by how they compensate for that lag with proggramming ...

Actually. Kinect really is a revolutionary device that has the potential to be better than just gaming... Try googling kinect and press the "News" tab... You'll sometimes see weird new inventons for it..

what does lag have to do with gameplay type? i ask that question because for example lets say hypotetically that kinect had no lag how would the gameplay of your shape change? or kinectimals? or dance central? etc

what i'm saying is if he thinks that its justified to say this

"And in these 4 years all Sony came up with is more or less the same experience as the Wiimote with bad software support."

then the same must apply to kinect as its done hardly anything gameplaywise that hasn't been done on web cameras for pc and the eyetoy

This has nothing to do with the fact that I like the Xbox.

how has Move failed? how is 8.8 million sales as of June 2011 a fail? thats 9 months after release. you are delerious.

No, thats not fanboy talk. its fact theres videos of it. they clearly show the eyetoy being used to track a wand with a colorful ball on top. its dated way before wii, and its right there on youtube for you. wether or not you choose to ignore these facts is up to you. but saying its fanboy talk is a straight up lie.

bad software support? really? Killzone, Heavy Rain, inFAMOUS, Resisdent evil, LBP2, MLB THE SHOW, Resistance 3, inFAMOUS: festival of blood, echochrome, sports champions, eyepet, deadmunds quest, Tiger Woods, tumble, etc.

bad software support! yeah not so much. try great software support. with many games that are actually better because of it.

8.8 million moves sold means a userbase of maybe 6 million, which is not breathtaking in 10 months.

In your second paragraph you just underline that you did not understand what I was saying. Sure there are youtube vids, but sony did not bring it to the market. Nintendo did, they won, sony played catch up and failed to do so.

Yeah, it is a bad software support, because nobody cares about the move support at all. Well except a very tiny minority like you. These games did nothing to sell move hardware and move hardware did nothing to sell the software.

Remember all this Move vs Kinect articles / threads / discussions last year? I think there is no way to spin the fact that Kinect was a greater success in every segment. Not just the hardware sales (the number you mentioned is only slightly above the number Kinect did in 60 days) There is no move only title that comes even close to 1 million unit sales, while Kinect has 7 already (Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Joy Ride, Dance Central, Kinect Sport Season 2, Dance Central 2, your shape) Star Wars and Ryse look like they could reach that milestone as well.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

From watching that video.. ive seen how kinect is much more responsive than any of those devices... and also being able to play two players DC2 with the use of any controllers. Kinect really is a jump accuracy and responsiveness wise. But its not enough of a jump that it can compete with fast online play. I guess people have seen the kinect as a different device. It was the first motion sensing device that uses such technology for body recognision. A 3d sensing technology.

Seriously though, you seem like a person that one cant convince through posting. You seem to just "shrugg" kinect and the technology it offers. Just try it out and stop watching those videos and you might see how cool it is to play and experince kinect..

Ps: The Ps2, Ps3 eyetoy voice recognition are limited while Kinects voice recognition is much more broad.

Pss: I also had my doubts about the kinect.

Psss: Did you even read the article??

Edit: Ive also seen a culture developing around the net. Whenever a new technology is created relating motion sensing, people tend to say "This Kinect-like device.." Which I found really cool.

not necessarily, why would you say so? an idea or device doesn't have to be new for people to be impressed or interested in it...

and yet it still can't manage to change the gameplay by much?

i'm thinking that thats more to do with the intended purpose ( as in more commands could have been programed for but there was no need ) but whatever

"Seriously though, you seem like a person that one cant convince..."

you can judge me that well after 2 posts? beyond that yes i have used kinect and also the eyetoy and i'm assuming that anyone else that has understands what i'm talking about... did you ever use the eyetoy?

"Ive also seen a culture developing around the net. Whenever a new technology is created relating motion sensing, people tend to say "This Kinect-like device..""

sounds like how people tend to associated phones and tablets with the iphone and the ipad but they weren't the first and aren't the best in their respective  categories...

they're just popular and i have never questioned how successful kinect is just how original the gameplay on it is

This has nothing to do with the fact that I like the Xbox.

how has Move failed? how is 8.8 million sales as of June 2011 a fail? thats 9 months after release. you are delerious.

"There is no move only title that comes even close to 1 million unit sales"

i understand your agenda but thats not really true sports champions has sold 3 million units

and beyond that

"8.8 million moves sold means a userbase of maybe 6 million, which is not breathtaking in 10 months."

sure kinect has without a doubt done better in sales of both software and hardware, but i wasn't aware that 8.8 million units of anything sold in 10 months could be considered "failure"...

well actually the exact same could be levelled at the kinect vs the eyetoy and other web cameras

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au3UJHItYgc

up to this very day i can't understand whats so new and revolutionary about it as people have been doing the exact same gameplay on web cameras and eyetoy for years and years now...

and if you ask me even though much was promised the kinect hasn't done much so far to differentiate itself from whats been done already...

whenever i've raised this issue all people have said is that "the kinect is so much moar advanced" "3d depth sensing" "cmos sensing" etc...

but if thats the case why hasn't the gameplay changed at all?

Its because of the technical limitations of Kinect.. you do undertand that its only connected by a modified USB 2.0 ? Kinect has a very low resolution, this means lag and miscomunication often happens.. However, MS really out did themselves by how they compensate for that lag with proggramming ...

Actually. Kinect really is a revolutionary device that has the potential to be better than just gaming... Try googling kinect and press the "News" tab... You'll sometimes see weird new inventons for it..

http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/microsoft-kinect.htm

what does lag have to do with gameplay type? i ask that question because for example lets say hypotetically that kinect had no lag how would the gameplay of your shape change? or kinectimals? or dance central? etc

what i'm saying is if he thinks that its justified to say this

"And in these 4 years all Sony came up with is more or less the same experience as the Wiimote with bad software support."

then the same must apply to kinect as its done hardly anything gameplaywise that hasn't been done on web cameras for pc and the eyetoy

for example :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au3UJHItYgc

edit : " Actually. Kinect really is a revolutionary device "

how so?

" From watching that video.. ive seen how kinect is much more responsive than any of those devices... Kinect really is a jump accuracy and responsiveness wise..."

well obviously you're seeing things i'm not... lol but the funny thing is you seem to be contradicting yourself now... didn't you say this just now?

"ts because of the technical limitations of Kinect.. you do undertand that its only connected by a modified USB 2.0 ? Kinect has a very low resolution, this means lag and miscomunication often happens"

"I guess people have seen the kinect as a different device."

not necessarily, why would you say so? an idea or device doesn't have to be new for people to be impressed or interested in it...

"It was the first motion sensing device that uses such technology for body recognision. A 3d sensing technology."

and yet it still can't manage to change the gameplay by much?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nypgtIRx4A

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au3UJHItYgc

"The Ps2, Ps3 eyetoy voice recognition are limited while Kinects voice recognition is much more broad."

i'm thinking that thats more to do with the intended purpose ( as in more commands could have been programed for but there was no need ) but whatever

"Seriously though, you seem like a person that one cant convince..."

Yes I did use the eye toy.... and it was.... well.... pretty bad..

Yay!!!
