how has Move failed? how is 8.8 million sales as of June 2011 a fail? thats 9 months after release. you are delerious. No, thats not fanboy talk. its fact theres videos of it. they clearly show the eyetoy being used to track a wand with a colorful ball on top. its dated way before wii, and its right there on youtube for you. wether or not you choose to ignore these facts is up to you. but saying its fanboy talk is a straight up lie. bad software support? really? Killzone, Heavy Rain, inFAMOUS, Resisdent evil, LBP2, MLB THE SHOW, Resistance 3, inFAMOUS: festival of blood, echochrome, sports champions, eyepet, deadmunds quest, Tiger Woods, tumble, etc. bad software support! yeah not so much. try great software support. with many games that are actually better because of it. |
8.8 million moves sold means a userbase of maybe 6 million, which is not breathtaking in 10 months.
In your second paragraph you just underline that you did not understand what I was saying. Sure there are youtube vids, but sony did not bring it to the market. Nintendo did, they won, sony played catch up and failed to do so.
Yeah, it is a bad software support, because nobody cares about the move support at all. Well except a very tiny minority like you. These games did nothing to sell move hardware and move hardware did nothing to sell the software.
Remember all this Move vs Kinect articles / threads / discussions last year? I think there is no way to spin the fact that Kinect was a greater success in every segment. Not just the hardware sales (the number you mentioned is only slightly above the number Kinect did in 60 days) There is no move only title that comes even close to 1 million unit sales, while Kinect has 7 already (Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Joy Ride, Dance Central, Kinect Sport Season 2, Dance Central 2, your shape) Star Wars and Ryse look like they could reach that milestone as well.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
