Thanks to spurgeon for the idea of a DS Vs. PS2 gap chart, as we don't track weekly PS2 sales now I've used shipments, so this will be incoporated into my January, April, July and October Gap Charts.

I'm looking to expand my monthly gap charts and want your suggestions!

Current charts are

X360 Vs. Wii - USA
PS3 Vs. Wii - Europe
PS3 Vs. X360 - Global
X360 Vs. Wii - UK

I'm also debuting a 3DS Vs. Vita - Japan

The requirements are:

lower selling LTD platform has to be currently selling above the higher selling LTD platform (ie getting somewhere ...)
realistic chances of it happening, I'm going to need a good argument to add Wii Vs. PS3 - Japan for instance.

I think the PS3 vs. Wii would be a very good edition since the PS3 is most likely going to be selling way more over the next year than the Wii. Other than that I can't think of any charts that could be added.

How about something showing Nintendo's superiority

Japan: 3DS vs. PS3

The only one I even care about on there is PS3 vs 360 global. The one that would be the coolest to me if made would be 360 and PS3 vs Wii global. Many people already call the systems the HD twins (which I do not totally agree with but...) , plus it is pretty much agreed that for the most part the gamers on the wii have very different tastes than gamers the HD consoles. I would actually read your article Seb if you included this in your article.

The reason why there is no 360/PS3 vs. Wii chart anymore is because the 360 + PS3 is already ahead of the Wii.

Yeah I plan to have it from 3DS launch.

I know I have the 5 most important, but it'd be nice to expand.

To the suggestions so far

DS Vs. PS2 - don't really have many PS2 numbers to go on now for that.
Wii Vs. PS3 - incredibly low chance of this happpening.
3DS Vs. PS3 ... I don't really such much point in
HD Vs. Wii - I removed about 4 months ago!

Exactly when I stopped reading it. I do not know why you would do such a thing. That was one of the few articles I used to read, now I read zero on here.

Because HD twins got some 20 million ahead of the Wii and the chart was rendered useless :-S wasn't going anywhere but up, nothing to see.

As I said for the most part the article currently has nothing to see already. Your article whatever. 

I would like to see the PS3 vs. Wii in Japan. Just because the PS3 has made up a lot of ground there against the Wii. It's hard to predict whether the PS3 will overtake the Wii, but it I think it is interesting to see how it is doing. PS3 dominated the Wii in 2011 (Japan). With 2012 having the launch of the Wii U it could be another dominating year for the PS3 and who knows how much the Wii's lead will drop by the end of the year.
