Nevah underestimate the Uncharted fans :D

UC3 may not win VGA GOTY, but it looks like its getting more awards than Skyrim

how many does it have compared to Skyrim?

I don't know, I'm not following Skyrim o_o. I think Skyrim should have more considering UC3 is only available on the PS3. Sites such as IGN are likely to have the 360 and PC side vote in favour of it, whilst PS3 stands with UC3 (A lá MGS4 losing to Fallout 3 at IGN in 2008).

Nonetheless, more or not: Uncharted 3 is recieving a surprising amount of praise in my opinion as I believe this year is arguably the toughest year of this generation. There have been so many games that haven't been awarded with squat. Fantastic games such as Gears 3 and LBP2 really deserved more. Thankfully ND seems to have accomplished to create a very big fanbase over the net with Uncharted. Considering Uncharted 2 has the most praise alone this generation when speaking GOTY, Uncharted 3 is merely adding to that list which puts ND on a very very good spot with Sony :'D. The Last Of Us is a true show of that <3.

Not to mention the future looking back going:
IGN only gave X games 10/10! Uncharted 3 was one of the few AND it recieved 10 in all aspects!
GT rated UC3 as the highest rated PS3 exclusive!

The fact that you guys are asking about Skyrim in comparison to Uncharted 3... The franchise known as The Elder Scrolls that have been around since 1994 ..Thats crazy!

Uncharted franchise growed up this gen... the fanbase is solid and the games/ND deserves the awards and recognition.

Damn i loved this game, it deserves to win something thats for sure.

Best Graphics i´ve seen in a videogame, especially the Sand, Water in the Ship and the Forest in France is amazing!

I loved this game as much as Gears of War 3 and the campaign was even better than Gears of War 3 but the online lack alot compared to Microsoft Baby.

Hope it will get even more awardsb :)

We've already told you what our favorite games of 2011 are, but the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences apparently needed a bit more time to ruminate on the matter. The final awards will be given at the annual DICE summit in Las Vegas on February 9, giving us all tons of time to pressure the AIAS into giving Rayman Origins the awards for Outstanding Animation and Outstanding Art Direction.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is the belle of the ball this year, with a total of 12 nominations across several categories. Other notable titles include Portal 2 (10 nominations) L.A. Noire (9 nominations), Bastion (3 nominations), and Battlefield 3 (6 nominations). 2010's top game from the AIAS was Mass Effect 2, which walked away with awards in the RPG and storytelling categories.

Jay Mohr will be hosting again -- here's his monologue from last year -- and the entire show will be streamed online through GameSpot, starting at 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET. Or you could buy a plane ticket and fly to Vegas, hoping to somehow sneak in. We wouldn't suggest that, though, as your time and money can be better spent petitioning for Rayman Origins.

Yo folkes,

Portal 2 deserves goty and IGN gave it to it. However IGN continues to amaze me with their ..in-consistant awards. I mean jesus christ.

PS3 goty = UC3, 10/10
Wii goty = Zelda, 10/10
Pc/360 goty = Skyrim, 9.8/10

So natrually its between these, all common sense points to it. But heres my take on it =

Its just so badly presented! Asuming that EVERY platform has a better game, then they dare say the overall best game is neither? Its apparant that IGN wants to not piss off any fans. Best developer - .. Was it bethesda? Nd? Valve?! Nope! MOJANG! Whaaaat?
Sound - oo bf3? Zelda? Uc3? Naah Dead space! Story - oo uc3? PORTAL?! Naah Catherine!!

These games that won truly deserves it but it is so flawed the way IGN goes about doing it. Its as if the first awards are mainstream awards. Then they wait till Jan 17 to give their underrated awards instead of actual.. You know.. Overall awards. Anywaay:
