Forums - Nintendo - Club Nintendo now offering Downloads as Rewards!

Cha-ching! Did you know that you can now earn Coins to get downloadable games? Check out the new Club Nintendo site to learn how and join the club.

I just checked it out, You can get titles such as 3D Classics Xevious, the well reviewed WiiWare title Fluidity, and the original Mario Kart. All the games look to be 100-150 coins, which is honestly less than I thought they would be. Also the site has been redesigned and looks much sharper and user friendly than before. It's running realllly sloooow right now, probably because people are checking it from the recent Facebook post.

Are you going to start registering more games, or spending coins on downloads?

I approve this.

Of course, the only thing available right now that I'd want is Fluidity.

Those games are downloads for the 3DS right? If it is than, its useless for me atm lol.

I barely have 180 coins for my Club account ;x.

There are 3DS, DSi and Wii titles. For Wii, there are a couple VC games, including Mario Kart, and the game I mentioned in the OP, Fluidity, which is a great puzzle/platformer. Fluidity is only 150 coins, and totally worth it.

Question: How do you get these coins for Club Nintendo? Because on my PT Club Nintendo account, which has 4000 stars, there doesn't seem to be any coins (and i've registered quite a number of games). Or do the coins only appear after this system is implemented?

Coins are just what stars are called in the US.

But are they worth the same? How many Coins do you get in the US Club Nintedo for registering a game? Here we got 150 stars for a game, 500 for a console (the latest values I got after registering the 3DS and my four games).

The amounts are different. It's about 50 coins for a game (30 at registration, 20 more a week later for filling out a post play survey). Downoadable games only give us 10 coins for the post play.

I see, so if this system would came to EU, the values would probably be tripled. Still, at that conversion rate 4000 stars would be 1333 coins, which is not bad XD.

I just hope that Nintendo does bring this to EU, though it'd probably take them a long time to do so.

Awww, where I live there's not Club Nintendo. It is pretty ironic, because I have like 15 eligible games to register for coins. :/
