What does that mean? I think I've seen the movie Children of Men but can't remember anything about it.

Watch http://youtu.be/0A8__UZ_BQg - you'll notice there isn't a single cut in that scene, which is quite impressive.

Few cuts, the camera stays close to the character and therefore moves a lot - this style leads to a denser atmosphere. You feel like you're involved in what is happening and not just watching it.

Woah I guess I haven't seen that movie before but it looks amazing.

Whoa I like that.

Is it just me, or am I getting the vibe that ND actually chose this themselves because they had a fk ton of ideas for it? The way they are talking about it makes it seem like they are going for something unique and special. As if they have had ideas in them for quite some time now.

great

looking forward to the game so far its shaping up to be something that will provide me my gaming needs its horror, 3rd person, looks like alot of time has been put into it, as a great atmosphere and general setting, and M rating i initially didnt think it get the M or be 3rd person. I havent been looking forward to really any of the PS exclusives since UC1 and MGS4 so its been a long time that a PS exclusives has me somewhat hyped

i do have some concerns though not b/c im anti PS or b/c this is a PS exclusive, its kinda hard to be ultra hyped for games this gen like some of the other posters on here mainly b/c alot of my favorite games from last gen have been imo butchered like GTA Resident Evil, NFS, and the extreme sports genre and very few of the newer series from the PS exclusive brand interest me

i dont really like reading up on games prior to release but some of the stuff ive read that concern me that this game wont supply my personal tastes is that the main focus is not the outbreak, how it occurred, or even how are characters will survive it but instead the relationship between the two i hope they are exaggerating when they said this. One of the characters being a girl and only the age of 14 i feel that i may not really care for her or can relate to her situation past or present. Another thing is the actual gameplay and even combat i dont know how it will work out with there being an AI controlled one for the entire game or at the very least the majority of it. It may take the survival/horror feel away from it, like in RE5 i myself and others that ive asked felt that playing the game solo was far scarier/even better experience with the story as a whole then co-op and imo could of been more had it been really solo like the RE games of the past 2 gens.

In conclusion though very little is know about the game and the actual gameplay it will provide, so its really hard for me to really talk about it more at this juncture, i do hope well for it as alot of things so far shown do actually interest me

I got to stop coming here!!! but thanks for the info CGI! most impressive!!

Children of Men was so bad and that scene you posted looks laughably amateur. Obviously because it was uncut for so long, it's really hard to make it good if you don't use any cuts in action scenes like that. I love long scenes without many cuts but that was just overkill and makes it look amateur and not immersive.

I do think it's a sign of seriousness though to apply the principle of long uncut scenes into a cinematic game. Hopefully it works out.
