Forums - Gaming - So who bought Rayman Origins?

Probably not all that many of our VGC members, because it was kinda expected to be bargain bin material. But those of you who did buy it, what do you think of it? Do you regret buying it?

It's an okay game that lacks in some areas like controls, level design, collision detection, multiplayer and rewards.

Uh-oh.  Is it really that bad?

have a strong feeling that I'm getting this for Christmas.

Will be buying it but waiting for the psvita version :), Funny how people say it should be a downloadable game only just because it's a 2D game. I guess the Mario games should be that too then?

I intend to get it next week.

I can´t get enough of 2D platformers.

Well. Duh. Everybody knows Nintendo can't haz online.

Oh dear, I've had half an eye on this given that I've played a few Rayman games before, but this sounds like they've ignored all the things important to a 2D platformer in favour of a decent art style.

i want to buy it. but waiting for a cheaper price. rayman is a platformer from my youth and is always great to revisit the good memories.

It's really really fun. You get a lot of content for $60 so can't really say it's not worth that. I heartily recommend it for anyone who wants a 2D platformer, given your options on PS3 / 360 are this or Sonic Generation, Rayman wins hands down.

Can't compare to the Wii 2D platformers as I ain't played them but it's damn good either way.

I am quite interested in it but I don't plan to get it soon.

It's not, Rol just isn't used to 3rd party games being good.

I'm not either.  Uh-oh.

I was surprised to see it at retail for 60 euros. Additionally I've not been given a pc port.

Colour me disappoint

eh? aren't you from the Netherlands? you can pick it up for ~ 40 euros...
