Even if the PS3 version was completely unplayable, Skyrim would still deserve to be the game of the year. It would just mean the PS3 version should be avoided.

I don't think anyone would blame a developer for having some bugs in their games. But when this bug(Skryim Lag) was present in Fallout 3 and New Vegas it makes you wonder why they didn't learn from their mistakes? I guess people keep buying their games so that's all they care about. They won't learn until it hurts them financially. Someone should sue.

you know I heard the reason "It's difficult/different to develop for the PS3" reason from Skyrim; and while I won't throw that out the window, but the PS3's been out for 4-5 years, I don't know if Bethesda can held to a certain standard when many devs have not only stepped up to make PS3 version games equal to its competitors but some have even made it their lead development platform.

Why not just call another company(or Sony's first party devs) and say "mind helping us out?" if Bethesda can't wrap around themselves around the PS3 tech a this stage in the game then it's a bigger egg on their face than the current situation they're in now.(which is I why believe they half-assed it than the excuse given) I would have rather had them release the game at a later date so they can work out all the bugs.

I'm not even that far in the game(just reached 8mb) and I had 3 freezes while playing yesterday that resulted in me having to turn off my PS3(within a span of 3 hours) and some famerate drops. i think the problem isn't that exaggerated as some people claim, if you check the bethesda forums, you'll see numerous threads of people complaind about all kinds of bugs or turning their game in,and you'd find threads all over other gaming sites complaining about the same problem(mostly retaining to the PS3 version)

i hope I'm not coming off as some butthurt fanboy...but i'm somewhat losing the drive to play the game(might just finish the main quest and turn it in...)

I'd say I'm arguably one of the biggest Fallout 3 fans on the site, and I played it extensively for both PS3 and 360 and I noticed very little difference between the two versions. Maybe a bit longer load times on the PS3 version but freezing/glitching wasn't an issue anymore than it was on 360.

Also Oblivion on PS3 was very playable, no problems there either. In fact the PS3 version was the first one I played, didn't own it on 360 till much later.

I haven't played New Vegas or Skyrim on PS3 though, so maybe those are worse on PS3, I've heard once you get far in PS3 Skyrim it becomes unplayable but I can't comment on that.

I dont know how many people on here are as far as I am, but it seems I am in the very small minority, which is odd considering the number of other sites that have their forums filled with Skyrim issues. Maybe some people on here are just more forgiving to a developer and wont bitch about the bugs they encounter due to the BS excuse of "Its a huge open world game, its gonna have bugs". Well I dont buy that BS.

I had issues with Fallout 3, and New Vegas, I dont know why I was surprised to see more bugs in Skyrim, I guess I was hoping by then a developer as talented as Bethesda would figure it out eventually. Wrong, I guess they really aren't that talented.

I have had dozens of quest breaking glitches that I cant complete and now I have to essentially start over due to not being able to go any further with any of the quests. And I'm not talking just misc quests and/or Radiant Quests, I'm talking main quest lines. So thats a lvl 60 character with over 200 hours of gameplay. Plus countless backtracks for workarounds on broken quests. That I essentially have to give up on because of them. Not to mention that I cant play for more than an hour without it locking up randomly. Its gotten quite ridiculous.
