I dont know. If the rumors about the lowish specs are true, then definitely lower than $400

It really depends on the bundle itself. Imo they should be bundling it with wii mote+nchuck+ tablet for $350-400

If it's at 600 then I'll be enjoying my PS3 and Wii for a bit more :/

why is always people complaining about 600$ price point? with inflation over the years... it is bound to happen for that price be a standard launch price point. it is better to do it in 2012 or 2013 than 2006. i recon that but if people find value in the product they will pay (i did pay for PS3 back in 2007 (i am European, launch was in 2007))... if you can't? tough luck then... wait for the price drop and buy it latter! gamers are such whiners... i am sorry if some will get butt hurt but its true...

Sorry dude, but not everyone can afford a $600 console, and buy another tablet for probably $100 then get a couple of other games for $100... $800 just for the basic stuff? That's insane!

but ironically enough they can afford a $30+ a month mobile phone plan for 24month contract just so they can get the latest smart phone. $600 is a lot, but you need to look aat what it represents in the long term.

Don't forget this is $600AUD. US will get it cheaper anyway as other smaller countires will pay premums to cater for small margin losses in USA.

Don't forget, most aren't gamers. And phones is more important really :P You can't have everything you know

It's true though that I can't really see why people buy the latest smart phone ditching the one they got 6 months before. Crazy!

If $600 is indeed the price it would make sense to wait two or three years for the price to drop and more games become available. Early adopters of new products pay a premium higher price than others who decide to wait.

Hopefully Wii U is fully compatible with the Wii.
