Forums - Nintendo - Why is Skyward Sword doing poorly in the U.K?

Tagged games:

I am saying this from the perspective of someone who is in London, so it may be different elsewhere. Normally when I got on the underground/on the streets throughout the past few months, I saw adverts for Rage, Batman AC, Skyrim, Forza, etc. MW3 is still being advertised now, but without any doubt the most advertised is by far Uncharted. Sony has pretty much pulled all stops to make the game a commercial success here.

But Skyward Sword, I have seen quite literally no advertisement for it. Granted I don't really watch much TV, but I have to say that even if Nintendo makes a masterpiece, they can't expect people to buy the said masterpiece if they don't even know it exists. So I wouldn't blame the consumers in this case, but rather Nintendo for not advertising enough.

Zelda is a niche IP in the UK just like all other JRPGs.

Trust me, I'm from London, UK. People here like western games.
