do you mean it won't shut dowm or it won't install download but shuts down

It shuts down but won't install

does that mean you have to re-download it or is the install still there wheen you turn it back on

because i can't remeber how it was now or if anything has changed as i haven't left it to shutdown on its own since the update,but i 'm sure sometimes i have to re download it if i forget to install it

it means I have to install things manually and often if not alway I have to delete the install file manually as well. This was a big pain since I just got a ps3 for my brother and put all the games I already had onto his system

i installed most o myf psn games on my brothers PS3 a few weeks ago too

i haven't had to delete an install file though,i'll se what happens next time i leave it to turn off on its own after a download.i'm sure it used to install it but maybe i'm thinking of movies as they the hd movies can be big downloads which is when i leave it to turn off

My only problem lately is probably not 4.0 related. My controller isn't being recognized by the PS3 unless I connect it via USB. If I don't, I just get four flashing lights on the controller. It's annoying.

actually that happened to me too,it sorted its self out now,i had to have both of my controllers on to fix it and fiddle about but i can't exactly remember how,sorry
