Be careful with Geoff and spiketv, they need a big turnout for the VGA, so they always hype things to shit so they can get maximum viewers to tune in. The 8pm spot here in the states is a really competitive time for tv, so if I were you I would get ready for a limped mushroom tip announcement.

My guess of things it won't be;
God of war 4, the ant trailer makes no reference to anything about Greek mythology  or Gods.
GTA5, GTA4 performed too well on the 360 for R* to ignore it.
FF7, again the ant trailer makes no reference to the FF universe, not to mention FF7 story.
Half Life 3, Valve will never do this, Jesus will walk the earth before Gabe allows something like this to happen.
Gears of War 4, nope, that would be the equivalent of Uncharted on the 360, just not happening.
Resident evil 6, RE has been multiplate for a very long time now, don't see why Capcom would change that all of a sudden.

I think we will be let down once again by Geoff and Sony, this has happen almost everytime Geoff mouth off on a"big/massive/amazing" PS3 exclusives, total let donw time and time again, dont see why that would change all of a sudden.

no.   it is very clear this announcement is a ps3 exclusive which gears will never be.  it may go multi but not exclusive to sony.

It's gonna be a great looking game, it's gonna be a game in an established franchise, it's coming from a developer that has a lot of credibility. Above all, it's going to be a huge surprise.

The huge surprise part has me thinking it's not going to be a Sony 1st party game...

Edit: I'm gonna say it's this.

I'm going to agree with this. If I remember correctly there was a short teaser earlier with a grasshopper or something like that. There was a reference in RE 4 about parasites that control insects causing them to climb to a high point and get consumed by birds in order to infect the bird.

They should be careful hyping it up like this, people can only be more dissapointed if it isn't so awesome when it's revealed.

This is 4 things I'm absolutely certain it's not:

Epic Games Exclusive
Halo (duh duh duh)
Half-life 3
Resident Evil 6 (It makes absolutely no financial sense)
