Forums - Sales - US: 360 double PS3 sales and Wii in between - analysts

I can't help but think those 3DS look bad, then again DS looks suprisingly high.

Think he has X360 way under. Last year MS didn't even announce BF week numbers, and we have 606k that week. Because of this I think X360 did less than Wii last BF, which was 600k. That and it only sold 100k more than Wii for the entire month, that including Black Ops and Kinect Launch.

So that leaves them with the first 3 weeks of November last year being around 800k (if we say 360 did something like 570k last year BF week)

With BF week numbers this year presumably up 390k, he's thinking the 360 is down the first 3 weeks 325k ...

There is reasoning with that, Kinect launched last year (although Kinect was bigger this BF than last) but this year we had MW3 console bundles, last year there were no such ones for Black Ops.

All in all, given that MS expects huge growth this holiday, only being up yoy 70k given such a huge BF week, seems unlikely. His Wii looks spot on going by our figures, got a feeling it'll do a little higher. I'll be amazed and congratulatory if PS3 does 750k though, that's 40k up from it's highest ever Nov ($100 cut and Slim) were the previous months it had clear momentum and was even outselling X360.

Could be slightly low, although I'm not sure by how much, 0ctober 29th-26th of November Vgchartz has it at: 1.671.041 in the US

  1. 5th:  154,793
  2. 12th: 292,059
  3. 19th: 262,800
  4. 26th: 961,389

So we're still missing ~2-days and 170k units. Maybe 250K low in total?

Our 4 weeks of Nov are in line with NPD's (if that was the point you were making)

I think our numbers look better than Pachters, if it does do 1,440 that's not good for Microsoft.

so NPD doesn't include 27th,28th,29th and 30th of November then?

Those days will be in December which for NPD is a 5 week month.

Actually the point I was trying to make was that indeed 1,440 seems to low when compared to NPD & Vgchartz.

When I was counting the numbers I had some numbers higher than what VGC actually has them at,  I included numbers from the last 4 days of November, I sort of guessed them.

Why would they have low predictions for the 360 when MS confirmed it sold 960k in Black Friday week alone? Also they know MW3 came out with that special bundle which really pushed sales as well.

Yup, X360 averaged roughly 100k a week in October alone, 960 + that average = 1,260 that's before the huge weekly rises in Nov and MW3 console bundles.

this is a very poor prediction, I saw no one buying ds's and the 360 did much better than that.
