In that case then I imagine the destructible environments will be very limited and won't be the only way to reach certain areas (there will probably be less direct and longer routes). The whole co-op nature of MH, which the series is built upon, would break down if there were only one chances to reach certain areas, breaking up the party.

I loled with that picture in my head

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's an old video... and yeah I'm excited for this game! Hopefully it arrives soon :)

lololol, love it!

MH4 is simply stunning!!

epic trailer

Capcom sure knows how to use full potential of graphics, like the did on Wii

Capcom....Make it Multiplattform FFS and the same goes to Resident Evil:Revelations.

I mean why can their almost never be mutliplattform games in handheld gaming?

I wouldn't be surprised if this goes multiplatform (however unlike some people, I think it is far from certain), but if it is it would be a time exclusive for the 3DS and would unlikely see a release outside of Japan.  However, I imagine a lot (if not most) MH fans would be getting a 3DS for MH3G so I doubt go multiplatform will be as benefitial as it is for most games.

As for your question, it's because of two main reasons I think.  Firstly, the difference in specs; its the same as why there are few HD-Wii multiplats, and those that do exist (like Tales of Graces and Sengoku Basara) do so because of no home console having enough dominance in the market.  Secondly, there are differences in inputs and the like: a 2nd screen and touch capability probably detered developers porting DS games to the PSP.

Hope you are right :(, Really want MH 4 and RE:Revalations. But I can't justify to have 2 handhelds.(Not enought time to have 2!!!) But hopefully it should be easier this time as psvita have touch too and the second screen could easly be done by pressing select or something.

Ofcourse it will get a release here.

And Im not surprised it was playable, since it was always quite evident that Capcom has had dev. kits for the 3DS longer than any other third party.

Amazing none the less, and clearly Ubisoft will get their asses handed to them if their 3DS version of Assassins Creed doesn't look and play like this.

Ubisoft canceled the 3DS Assassin's game...

Yeah i know, but I wouldn't expect them to not make an Assassins Creed for 3DS in the near future. If Vita gets one with 0 sales, surely 3DS gets one with 10 million.

I guess it doesn't hurt to be optomistic, even tho the team that was working on the 3DS game is probably making the Vita game and the plot of the 3DS game is in Revelations. But hey maybe they will throw a Ass creed 3 tie in the 3DS' way.

Man, please don't patronize 3DS players.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Yeah. In fact, this trailer is probably responsible for 47% of 3ds sales in Japan right now.
