No offense but I don't think we're on the same page :/

lol, it's okay! What rock bands do YOU enjoy then? :)

I like a bit of everything when it comes to rock music. A few of my favorites are: The Who, The Animals, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, King Crimson, The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival.

That being said, I typically enjoy metal more than rock, it's a shame that metal pretty much died in the mid-90's.

Love pretty much all those bands.  The only band mentioned that I am not too familiar with is King Crimson.  Just tried listening to a few of there songs and they sound a little like Pink Floyd but perhaps more folky.  Their style kind of sounds like Pink Floyd's The Piper at the Gates of Dawn CD.

Dear god, I despise Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Did you listen to In the Court of the Crimson King It`s all down hill after their debut.

Oops, I probably meant more like Momentary Lapse of Reason than Piper at the Gates of Dawn.  Yea, Piper wasn't that good of a CD and a little akward even for Pink Floyd (they must have been tripping balls even more than usual).  I did enjoy the last song though (Bike) on Piper.  Listening to The Court of the Crimson King right now.  Sounds a little like Jethro Tull.  Has a classic rock / classical music vibe.  This song sounds a lot better than the other ones I sampled.

yeah you gotta look for stuff these days

here's an intersting one; Industrial/metal outfit Ministry's frontman finally got their country/industrial crossover project - Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters - out (after about 15 years of threatening lol)

fairly sweet Grateful Dead cover here + some others

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

I updated the op with a few 2000+ songs that I have found that I enjoy. If anyone has anything that sounds as good or better then let me know.

I don't listen much of it, but it seems like indie and metal have been pumping some fairly good stuff.

Edit - beaten to it, but anyways...

*sigh* I wrote out a big long post and then Chrome decided to crash for the billionth time in a few weeks. I hate it so much. Rather than type out the big long thing again I'm just going to put post 00s bands/musicians who are good. Even though some of them aren't to my taste. Probably forgetting some but hard to remember what music is defo post 2000.

Gin Nan Boyz (Punk)
Seasick Steve (Blues)
Trapt (Rock)
Emmy the Great (Indie Folk)
Daft Punk (Late 90s/early 00s)
Inushiki (Punk/Reggage)
Phoenix (Alt Rock)
Tim Minchin (mix of stand up and music)

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

If you're into psichedelia or progressive music, you should check on this site. http://www.progarchives.com/

They have a really good archive indeed, probably you'll find something for your tastes like Gentle Giant or Emerson,Lake e Palmer for example.

Also, if foregn language is not a problem, you may check some italian progressive rock. Not everyone knows the italian prog scene was really impressive for a short time, second only to the british scene. Check albums like Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM)-Storia di un minuto-Per un amico, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso-Darwin! (I like this album so much I decided to use its cover for my avatar), Le Orme- Felona e Sorona.

Anyone citing 70's progresive rock and hard rock as "good music" whereas today's music is crap puts a smile on my face - not because I agree, but because it is humerous to see such outright blatant pretentiousness =P

The 70's sucked until New Wave.
