Microsoft will release a new update to its Xbox 360 dashboard that will dress it up like Windows 8.- New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile- Beacons and Social Network Sharing- Enhanced Family Settings- Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps - Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)-Customized apps for TV, movies, Internet videos, sports and music.

I must say that I am quite looking forward to the new update. I have come to expect a new update every year now and so far have been impressed with each one.

I guess this is MS moving to their shared Windows 8, Windows Phone 7 and Xbox Live shared landscape. I love WIndows Phone 7 and Xbox Live and to be honest can't wait for when Windows 8 launches.

When I am not in the gym or with mates I sometimes find myself just messing around on Live and not even playing a game, well recently Deus Ex has kept me busy. I would never do the same thing on my PS3, in fact, I have never bought a game on PSN and completely stopped downloading movies from PSN. I bought Uncharted 3 and it is just sitting there waiting for me. To be honest I have not switched my PS3 on for about 3 months now.

I have a feeling with the new dashboard I will just spend even more time on my 360. Not a bad thing at all.

Yeah just 6 more days. Im going to be using the Manga tv app i love anime speaking of anime i should do a thread on it.

I'm looking forward to finally being able to use the voice commands, which haven't been available in Australia. I'm interested in the 'apps' menu. I wonder how long before there's a voice actions/siri app that answers your voice commands - they could even animate your avatar to talk back to you. Yep I'm excited!

The new 360 dash update is worth it just to be able to watch YouTube videos on my big screen without all the choppiness and slow down you experience when you try to play them with the Wii, especially when u make them full screen. It's like watching a slide show.

I already have it (due to the beta) and I can't really say anything about it other than it's awesome.

Very excited indeed! It looks so elegant, so refined. It's like getting a new console! I can't wait to see how the new music player looks.

I bought my Xbox 360 when the latest dashboard was released. Never realized how bad the previous versions suffered.

Couldn't care less, MS have constantly dissapointed me with the fact that the features of the dashboard are always much less in EMEAA & Japan than in NA.

Design looks clean though, they did a good job on that.
