At E3 they showed us a remake as in new build of the game but then after E3 they showed us the PS2 port :P

It will still sell well enough i imagine.

And look at it this way, Konami's bound to make Nintendo a big fat apology cake with Contra, and maybe a few more games, in the next year or so.

It's a good news then, especially for the people that going to purchase it. Hope the final product really show it....
Can't wait to play this game....

Well, I never played the game, and graphics is not my main thing, so, since people consider this a good game, I will buy it, whether it looks like a direct PS2 port or not. That said, for it to have a chance at selling well, it better be a remake that doesn't look like a PS2 port. (I say a chance because the HD collection will definitely have cost it quite a number of sales regardless).
