Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. It definitely doesn't dominate in Europe. However, you could also say that the 360 is only so close to the PS3 in Europe because of the UK which is the biggest market here. The PS3 leads in more countries in Europe so that's probably the reason why it's such a popular misconception that the PS3 is "dominant" here. So the truth is simple: the PS3 is ahead of the 360 in Europe (around 3m sales at the moment), but the difference is not as big as some people think.

Only the Top30 in the weekly SW chart??? I hope it's temporary and it will include the Top50 again when the transition is complete.
Anyway, nice week in Japan, and WW too, globally PS3 has a small rebound, considering it's the week after CoD and before BF. XB360 has a far larger and less justified one, considering this week it has not only AC, but Halo Anniversary too, although it's quite normal for XB360 to have more extreme ups and downs.
Nintendo holidays boost is starting.
USA (312M inh.) is a bit bigger than the whole Europe (EU-27 (500M inh.) or geographic Europe ? 700M)

Only top 30 is a HUGE change if it stays, i'm really suprised more ppl havent commented on that. We went from top 200?, to 50, 40, 30....really dissapointing if only top 30.

LOLwut. The PS3's lead is bigger in Europe than it is in MEAA. This just happens to be a relatively good week for 360 (surprisingly small drop from MW3 last week). The last 'normal' week:

PS3 40% higher than 360.
360 has only won 5 weeks in Europe since the PS3 slim launch. I can't be arsed to dig up Nintendo's charts. Go check them if you don't believe me. So yes, PS3 does dominate in Europe. Specifically in Continental Europe, that's where most of the claims of 'domination' usually refer to.

yeah,it gives everyone a clearer picture and having the USA on its own is a no brainer

Hmm... I wonder if it will always take this long to get the numbers up? If it takes 2 weeks to get the numbers in from everyplace and to split it up properly... too much work for VGChartz on a weekly basis? Or is this just because it's the first time?

i doubt it,but seems like a crazy time to change the whole databas,not that i know what that involes,lol
