With FFXIII-2 not doing nearly as well as FFXIII in pre orders perhaps you overestimated that as well, and Japan overall this Q?

that's below VGC preview numbers for MW3: 180k vs 206k and 30k vs 56k... maybe MW3 didn't beat BOps or Halo 3 launches in Japan...

Ni No Kuni..either this is because the game is bad..or the ds version left a real bad taste ..have no idea what happened here...but i think with some proper marketing the game can do real well in the west

The PS3 had the Gold Custom Ni No Kuni Magical Edition PS3 bundles as well as the introduction of the Red PS3 and the Blue PS3.

That's mostly because FFXIII had been available to pre order for years. FFXIII-2 became available to pre order in early october if I remember right. Still it's obvious that XIII-2 will do less like X-2 did less than X. I am guessing 1.4-1.5 million ltd in Japan.

Agree. It will definitely sell more than both Galaxy titles. Released around the same time as the first Mario Galaxy game, it is tracking well ahead of it with holiday coming up. First Mario Galaxy did 370K on 820K hardware in the last 6 weeks of the year. 3DS will definitely sell more than 820K in the next 6 weeks in Japan. There is a good chance for 3D Land to double its current number by the end of the year and that would 3D land at around 1 million already.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
